The charming village centre of Bigbury-on-Sea is home to a variety of eateries, many of which overlook the river and sea. The Southwest Coast Path meanders along the coast from the village, across spectacular cliff-tops, west to Challaborough Bay and Arymer Cove, and east to Avon valley. A short distance to the north is Dartmoor National Park, a unique landscape where peace and solitude are easy to find. Brixham, Paignton and Torquay are a short drive eastwards along the coast.
