Cairngorm Holiday Cottages
For lovers of the great outdoors with a taste for the wilderness, then a holiday in the Cairngorms is a must. Holiday cottages in the Cairngorms offer visitors miles and miles of unspoilt mountain ranges and long virtually unexplored valleys carved out by glaciers in a pre-historic age. Plan your route before you go and make sure you take time to walk the wonderful Lairig Ghru from Aviemore to Braemar, with high peaked mountains and the ancient forests and waterfalls at Rothiemurchus.

The Cairngorms are not only a paradise for walkers. Some may say golf spoils a good walk, but there are plenty of wonderful golf courses to enjoy both at the same time to dispute that belief. This part of Scotland is full of historical places of interest such as Balmoral and Blair Castle, and, for those who enjoy a dram of the hard stuff, a visit to distilleries such as Glenlivet, Dalwhinnie or Royal Lochnagar is recommended. Once you have explored the mountains there are some incredible rivers to meander alongside or fish. For the more adventurous there is Aviemore and the Cairngorms Park, where you can ski or mountain bike down some very exhilarating runs.
