Apart from seeing the incredible bottlenose dolphins in the sea near New Quay there are also a huge amount of birds to watch in the county during your Ceredigion holiday. One of the big RSPB reserves, the Ynyshir Nature Reserve, lies near the market town of Machynlleth where plenty of birds can be seen from the observation hides. Llanerchaeron, an 18th Welsh gentry estate near Aberaeron is owned by the National Trust and is now a working farm with extensive walks around the estate and parkland, ideal for families.
