The Cottage is easily accessible from Haywards Heath with its fast train services to/from London and the picturesque villages of Horsted Keynes, Lindfield and Forest Row are close by. A little further away are the historic towns of Lewes, East Grinstead and Uckfield as well as Royal Tunbridge Wells with its wonderful shopping and Pantiles. The Cottage is also only 30 minutes from both London's Gatwick Airport and Brighton, famous for its Pavillion and shopping in the Lanes.

The area in and around Danehill is a welcome haven for walkers, where over two thirds of the County is covered by the High Weald and Sussex Downs Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is also a wealth of picturesque villages, country houses, pubs, a number of beautiful gardens and spectacular coastal stretches. All of these are close by or within reach.
