Cloven Stone Cottage sleeps 4 and is specially designed for two couples holidaying together or families with older children.
It is part of the maginatively converted buildings of a 17th century hill farm - Monkhouse Hill Farm: winners of numerous national awards for quality, excellence and environmental practice.
Nine 4 and 5 star lake district holiday cottages, completely restyled by Cumbria's top design team, using contemporary local furniture and local artists to bring the wonderful buildings alive.
On the ground floor of this impressive five star Lake District cottage are two double bedrooms, each with a full ensuite bathroom. One of these bedrooms can also be configured as a twin bedroom.
Upstairs is a spacious living area with soft leather furniture, a log burning stove and magnificent 30 mile views. Open plan to the living area is a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.
Walk out of the living area straight on to an elevated private balcony with your own hot tub bubbling away ready for use. The cottage also has a small patio area in the courtyard.
Complementing Cloven Stone's natural stonework is a collection of Toulouse Lautrec prints, together with pieces of more local artwork and dining furniture from 'Out of the Woods'.
A superb base for exploring the Lakes by foot, bike or car, sampling great Cumbrian food and drink. Monkhouse Hill really does offer you Lake District Cottages at their very best.
