Ghillie's View Holiday Cottage Description
Ghillie’s View is the former accommodation of the estate ghillie, who looked after the fishing rights of the Waren Lea Hall Estate on the river and the bay, which included salmon and sea trout runs on the River Waren.
Reached through its own entrance, the delightful accommodation is all on a single floor. It is comfortably furnished throughout and has polished wooden floors to the hall and reception room.
The semi-circular drawing room incorporates part of the old circular pele tower which has been here since the 18th century; and French windows open onto a balcony, perfect for watching the sunset over the bay.
The kitchen/dining room, the drawing room and the master bedroom all enjoy views over the river and the bay across to Holy Island.
Guests in Ghillie’s View enjoy the use of the large walled garden.
There are plenty of attractions and activities to cater for everyone’s needs whether you are after a quiet relaxing holiday or in need of something a little more action packed; please look through the attractions and activity pages for further inspiration.
