Holiday Cottages in East Yorkshire

EAST YORKSHIRE

A county of dramatic countryside and coastline, its natural offerings would keep a family visit going for days, and that's before you have sampled the attractions of the city of Hull's continental-style water-front, where you'll find musical events and theatre, shopping, and enjoy the intoxicating night-life.  The county has many award-winning walking and cycling trails. Check out the 79 miles of the Trans Pennine Cycle Trail, the five East Yorkshire lighthouses lighting up the 45 miles of coast between Spurn Point and Flamborough Head; and for bird-watchers, observe Bempton Cliffs, nesting homes to thousands of sea-birds. East Yorkshire beaches are wide and sandy, giving you a more relaxed walk from Bridlington to Spurn Head at the mouth of the River Humber. This river is crossed at Hull by the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world.  And while you are still in Hull, visit the "Submarium". where dozens of sharks and thousands of assorted fish can be viewed from Europe's deepest viewing tunnel, finishing off with a ride in the glass lift running through the 10 metre deep tank.
