It is heated by Ground Source Heat Pump and wood burning stove (all fuel included), supplemented by electricity from 100% renewable source. The property has a ‘Gold level’ Green Tourism Award and is Quality Cumbria assessed.
Open plan living room with views over the North Pennines, kitchen with range cooker, garden, storage for bikes, and parking. Ground floor bedroom (which can be twin or superking) and bathroom, 3 steps to open plan living room/kitchen: ramp available on request.
Main bedroom is a double with en suite shower room, including WC. Also up stairs is a twin bedroom with shower room and WC adjacent.Linen and towels are provided but if you wish to use the swimming pool you will need to use your own towels.
Children welcome, cot and high chair available. Also stair gate available on request.
TV, DVD player, and Wi Fi. Boot room/utility room with hanging space and tumble dryer. Poop bags and dog tags included.
The cottage is a 10-15 min walk from a local pub serving food and real ales, and it is on the C2C cycle route and Pennine Way. Picturesque scenery for walking or cycling on the doorstep, nearby private swimming pool bookable by the hour. An ideal base for exploring Hadrian’s Wall, The Lake District and Northumbrian National Parks, Carlisle and Durham.
Alston 4 miles. Shop and pub ¼ mile on foot, 1 mile by car. All fuel included. Two well behaved dogs welcome.
