Manor Bottom Holiday Cottage Description

Manor Bottom is a comfortable and cosy home set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, adjoining National Trust land. All the rooms offer views over the garden with fields and trees beyond. The well-equipped kitchen will delight cooks. You’ll find fresh flowers, wine or juice and the local paper when you arrive, as well as tea, coffee, sugar and salt in the cupboard and toiletries and loo paper in the bathrooms. In winter some dry logs and kindling are provided for the wood-burning stove in the sitting room.
Manor Bottom is ideally situated for bird-watching, red squirrel-spotting, walking, mountain-biking or just lazing around. The Isle of Wight's extensive network of footpaths starts right
outside the back door, from where a 20-minute walk is rewarded with wonderful views over the Channel and back across the island to the Solent and the mainland.
The rambling garden has lots of different places to sit and enjoy the peace, play boules, lounge in a hammock or bounce on the trampoline. There is a huge barbecue and outdoor dining under a vine-covered pergola.
For rainy days there are games and toys, including Monopoly, Scrabble, Risk and Pictionary, Duplo, K'nex and Brio, as well as loads of DVDs , books, games and story tapes.
The house 'bible' giving an insider's guide to the island is sent to guests on booking, to make your stay even more enjoyable. In the sitting room you will find walking, cycling and boating guides.
The local shop, pubs and post office are one mile away in the village. Ventnor and Bonchurch beaches are a 10-minute drive (or a one-hour walk over the downs if you are feeling energetic). In nearby Ventnor fresh fish and seafood can be bought on the seafront, and you can sample the local beer sitting outside a pub overlooking the beach.
