Pen Mill Cottage is situated in the heart of the wonderful, unspoilt Somerset countryside and lies at the lower end of a hidden valley, in an idyllic setting with three cascading ponds.
This delightful self-catering holiday cottage is easily reached via the M3/A303 and is about 2 hours drive from London.
The spacious cottage is extremely comfy for 6 adults. The hub of the house is the kitchen/diner with an AGA (spring & autumn) and electric cooker. This leads onto the sunny terrace and many of our guests find it an ideal place to relax. After a couple of days sitting on the terrace overlooking the ponds with deer, badgers and foxes, you will feel a new person.
Children love watching the free range chickens, horses and sheep and playing in the safe fenced garden with a swing on the old pear tree. For older children there is a Games Room with ping pong. Walking around the farm and adjacent National Trust or just over the fields to the local pub simply cannot be beaten.
There is much sightseeing to be done too. Georgian Bath and Salisbury are 20 mins away but great favourites are nearby Stourhead and Longleat. A popular visit is to the Clarkes Shopping Village for those who enjoy retail therapy.
