Welle House Holiday Cottage Description

Welle House is very spacious, light and airy, retaining many of it's original 1930s features.
The upstairs consists of three large bedrooms, two twins and one double, together with a bathroom. All rooms have views over the sea/countryside.
There is a further bathroom downstairs, with a washing machine, and an approx 30' through lounge/diner kitchen, both accessed through an imposing entrance hall. There is double bed-settee in the lounge area, allowing accommodation for an additional two adults if required.
A travel cot can be provided if required.
The lounge has a colour television with satellite, video and DVD player, and French windows opening on to a south facing patio with picnic table and barbeque, and access to a large lawn and garden area.
The unspoilt village of East Prawle is in one of the most attractive and natural parts of the South West peninsula, in the temperate and much loved South Hams. The surrounding area, within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, comprises farmland and some of the most beautiful coastline in the British Isles. A paradise for walkers and bird watchers alike.
Welle House is situated within walking distance of the South West Coastal Path and Prawle Point, Devon’s most southerly point. The local beaches at Lannacombe Bay, Gara Rock and Millbay in East Portlemouth on the Salcombe Estuary, are easily accessible, as are the popular fishing beaches at Slapton Sands, Beesands, and Hallsands. We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as within a Coastal Preservation Area and much of the coastline forms part of the Heritage Coast.
The renowned sailing town of Salcombe is about fifteen miles by road or two miles by passenger ferry across the Kingsbridge Estuary from East Portlemouth.
The historic naval town of Dartmouth with numerous shops and restaurants is about fifteen miles distant. The beautiful River Dart provides excellent opportunities for boating and sailing activities, and Dartmouth Golf and Country Club and the Woodlands Leisure Park are both about twelve miles distant. There are also golf courses at Bigbury and Thurlestone, flanking the mouth of the River Avon. The rugged splendour of Dartmoor National Park is about twenty miles to the north.

This property has been advertised on My Favourite Holiday Cottages since 14-01-2012
