The ‘weatherboarded’ Victorian Stables have been entirely renovated to provide a self-catering holiday cottage with two large twin bedrooms, two small single bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open-plan sitting-dining-kitchen area. It sleeps 4-6 in comfort, has a fully equipped kitchen with bed-linen and towels provided and underfloor heating to keep it all cosy.
Baylins Farm is a secluded half-timbered, Grade II listed building, largely dating back to the 1450 but with strong links to the Arts & Crafts Movement of the early 20th century. The family, who have been here for three generations, have converted other out-buildings for cultural and creative uses since it is no longer a working farm. Set in four acres of private gardens and paddocks it adjoins the rolling farmland of the Chiltern Hills to the West.
Situated halfway between London and Oxford it provides a perfect base for exploring, not only, the beautiful countryside of the Chiltern Hills (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the Thames Valley but also the historic sites of London, Oxford and Windsor. Car essential but Beaconsfield railway station only a mile away with a good service (40 minutes) into central London. London’s Heathrow airport is 14 miles away. Beaconsfield has two big supermarkets as well as smaller shops for food shopping and the area offers a wide selection of pubs and restaurants.
