The Cedar House is a smoke-free holiday home that is suitable for children. It offers plenty of space and is a pet friendly period holiday home. There are 3 reception rooms including a primary sitting room that is laid out for comfort including an open fire and flat screen TV as well as large, light and grand sash windows. The second sitting room also has an open fire, perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening. The dining room is large enough so that all guests can enjoy a meal together in a tastefully decorated large room that reflects the heritage of the building.
The kitchen is of a country style with bespoke fitted units and has a breakfast table that seats 6 people. It contains a wonderful Aga with 2 hobs and an electric cooker. To the side of the kitchen is a storeroom and a utility room. There is an American-style fridge freezer along with dishwasher and electric hob as well as microwave oven, tumble dryer and washing machine.
The sleeping accommodation at The Cedar House in Castor is set over two floors and includes a superking-size double bedroom as well as 2 king-size double bedrooms with one that also has its own ensuite shower room. On the second floor you will find a king-size double bedroom along with 2 double bedrooms and a further twin bedroom with a pull-out bed as well as to additional single bedrooms and another single bedroom with a pull-out bed. On the second floor there is a family bathroom with bath, WC and wash hand basin as well as a shower room, all beautifully fitted out.
Outside The Cedar House, you will find a large lawned garden and a play area in which stands a Wendy house for children and a second playhouse. There is garden furniture for you to relax in in the day or the evening. The Cedar House is a pet friendly large holiday home in Northamptonshire that accepts up to 4 well-behaved dogs. Plenty of parking is available with sufficient space for up to 6 cars and bike storage is also available.
The Cedar house is located in the village of Castor on the edge of Peterborough with the historic, picturesque market town of Stamford nearby. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, ranging from the Nene Valley Railway to Rutland water. I can honestly say this was one of the nicest houses we have stayed in. A superb country retreat which was big enough to comfortably accommodate the entire extended family. The owner's attention to detail was brilliant. We will be back!
