We had a fantastic short break at station cottage
"We had a fantastic short break at station cottage. The cottage was really comfortable and clean. The games room was an added bonus for our little boy. Beautiful location with lots of local walks in the outstanding countryside. Very dog friendly. It was lovely to meet the owner and he gave us some really useful information and ideas to explore the area. We would definitely recommend this cottage and will mostly likely return as well. " Tip: "Cottage is right on a nature reserve so lovely easily walk through there suitable for bikes or pushchairs. We loved seeing the red kites at a local nature reserve this was also dog friendly. Lovely walks at Hadfod. " Would Recommend: Yes

Previously home to the last signalman to work at Strata Florida Station, you can now walk straight out of Station Cottage onto Cors Caron National Nature reserve and The Ystwyth Trail.
Station Cottage is located between Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains. You will discover plenty to do in the local area, from Devils Bridge and Hafod Estate to Red Kites at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian. There are also excellent MTB bike trails and a skills track. You will find plenty of information of places to go and activities in the cottage or on our website before you arrive.
Station Cottage is single storey, sleeping 4 in two bedrooms (Master bedroom with a King size bed and a twin bedroom). The lounge is to the front of the cottage and has a wood burner. There is a kitchen diner to the rear of the cottage with dual aspect windows overlooking the rear garden and Cambrian Mountains beyond. The bathroom has a bath with shower over.
To the side of the cottage is a games room with table tennis and table football. On arrival, you will be greeted with a welcome pack with tea/coffee/milk and a Welsh treat. Linen and towels are included (please bring your own beach towels) There is also Super-fast WiFi at the cottage.
We welcome up to two dogs at Station Cottage, there is a front and rear garden where you can sit out. The gardens are separated with a gate. Please note there can be sheep in the field next to the rear garden. There are easy dog walks from the front door; just head out along the old railway line which is now part of the Ystwyth Trail. There are also lots of walks suitable for dogs a short distance from the cottage.
Station Cottage is a Friday changeover and short breaks are available in low season.

We loved our stay at this cottage
October 29th 2019
"We loved our stay at this cottage. It was cleaner than my own home, really spotless! Everything and more was there. Cottage owner made us feel that nothing was too much trouble, and even with a wet Newfoundland dog, he made us feel like it was fine. I was terribly concerned. Bedrooms were comfy, kitchen was warming, shower was great, what more could you ask for? Oh, they have a games room and a view to chill out and watch the birds whilst you are having a cup of tea, and fields and views that I couldn't stop photographing. I will return as soon as I can persuade my husband to book another break. " Would Recommend: Yes
Very impressed with our stay at Station Cottage

"We were very impressed with our stay at Station Cottage.Andrew was most welcoming and gave us a thorough tour around the cottage and shared his wealth of local knowledge. The attention to detail was amazing and much appreciated. The 5*+ above say it all" Tip: "Because of advanced years we couldn't tackle the many local walks-----so the car had to do the walking. Aberyswyth for shopping and a stroll down the prom. While New Quay,Aberporth and Aberaeron more compact and picturesque. The 3pm red kite feeding frenzy (off the A44 towards Aberyswyth) is worth seeing" Would Recommend: Yes
