Stratton is a pretty and quaint village, the cottages being a short stroll from the village shop and the superb, well known Tree Inn with its courtyard, bars and restaurant.

It is under 2 miles to Bude and its excellent sandy beaches known for their large expanses of golden sand and excellent surfing. There is an 18 hole golf course in Bude and 9 hole golfing and a practice range is only 2 miles away inland. Cycles are available for hire in the town. Coarse fishing is on offer at Bude canal. This is a great area for walking the famous cliff footpaths and canal tow path with its wild bird reserve. The area is renowned for the beauty of its rugged coast and is within easy reach of the spectacular scenery of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.
