'It was a lovely surprise when we realised that we had stumbled on a treasure by sheer accident. Both the cottage and the grounds were just what we needed.' From first time visitors to guests who have been staying with us for over 15 years, 'Well once again we have had a lovely week of chilling out and enjoying the beautiful peace and quiet', Little Leighs has something to offer those who wish to escape for a relaxing holiday.
Little Leighs is one of five cottages converted from 18th century farm buildings, which sit in large gardens at the end of a private drive off of a quiet country lane. To the front of the cottage is a small private garden with a seating area, a perfect little suntrap. The rest of the grounds comprise two bbq areas, with views over farmland towards Dartmoor. a playing field, pets corner with pygmy goats and chickens who are always looking for attention, and a small copse, where guests can exercise their dog. One large or two small dogs are welcome to stay.
Little Leighs is graded as 4* by Quality in Tourism. The ground floor is home to the living room, with wood burning stove, dining area, kitchen, shower room and a small bedroom, which is suitable for guests with mobility issues, having all the other facilities on the same level. On the first floor can be found a further twin and double bedroom, making the cottage suitable for up to five guests. Be warned, beamed ceilings on the ground floor can be a hazard to those over 6'2".
Little Leighs is ideal for couples and families of up to five. The feel is of a secluded holiday cottage, but being a few miles south of Bude near Crackington Haven, the cottage is in an excellent position to make the most of the North Cornwall coast. Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac and Bodmin Moor are all within a short drive, with Polzeath, Padstow, Newquay and The Eden Project all being reached well within the hour. With Bude's excellent beaches, Crackington Haven for rock pooling and relaxing, walks along the coast or on Bodmin Moor, you really do not need to drive too far from the cottage.
We, Lorrine and Geoff, are here to welcome you into the cottage and living in the farmhouse opposite, are always on hand with any help or advice you may need during your stay. just turn up and relax.

Bird song, soft rustling trees, freedom for kids and dogs, peace, tranquillity, just what the doctor ordered. What more can I say,
Lots to do by Dan and Trudy on April 16th 2016
We had a great time whilst staying at Little Leighs. Feeding the animals was good fun, they're all characters. Boarding at Crackington haven and Widemouth Bay, brr. The Napoleon at Boscastle for a good pint of local beer. Bude is lively. Trebarwith is a great beach to visit too, lots of rocks and pools to explore. Padstow is worth a visit, get the ferry to Rock and play in the dunes. There's more to the place than fudge and pasties. We loved the cottage and want to come back. There's loads to do, thanks!
We Are Telling Our Friends by Hannah and Josh on March 26th 2016
We've had such a lovely time at Little Leighs. We've thoroughly enjoyed the log fires every night. It's a great location for all the main towns in North Cornwall. We've done some great walks in Tintagel, Bude, Port Isaac, Padstow and Boscastle. We are sad to be leaving such a wonderful place. We'll be telling our family and friends about it. Thank you for the hospitality.
Wonderful Cottage In A Stunning Location by Mark and Elaina on February 16th 2016
Beautifully tranquil. My husband found this cottage by pure luck and how pleased I am. Wonderful cottage in a stunning location. The welcome couldn't have been better and Arabella loved feeding the animals every morning with Lorraine. We enjoyed a wonderful break and loved the personal touch of having Lorraine and Geoff close by to ask for directions etc. The location is fab, being able to visit a different beach every day. We shall be back in the summer and definitely recommending.
