Meadowview Cottage is set on the edge of 30 acres of farmland in the small North Cornwall hamlet of Trelash. Once a traditional Cornish barn, Meadowview Cottage is now an exquisite holiday home. Having been sympathetically renovated to a very high specification it is tastefully furnished and equipped with just about everything you could possibly need. Debbie and Roger believe that attention to detail and your comfort is of utmost importance; this is evident the moment you arrive.
A luxurious family friendly cottage. Befitting its name and packed to the rafters with character and charm, Meadowview Cottage provides luxury, self catering accommodation for 6 plus an infant. Choose from 3 bedrooms plus an en suite shower room, a family bathroom and a luxury vanity unit in one bedroom. On the same level is a fully equipped kitchen, airing room, living room and dining room with stunning views over verdant meadows.
Outside is private parking for three vehicles, two beautiful enclosed gardens, barbecue, enclosed children’s play park and log cabin housing sauna and exercise equipment.
Family Friendly: The cottage and gardens are on one level so suitable for all generations. Generous facilities are provided for children including an enclosed play park, toys, games, play station PS3, unlimited WiFi and beach accessories. For adults there is a private sauna and exercise equipment
The gardens are distinctly different with one providing a traditional lawn, barbecue and feature well enclosed within traditional Cornish spar stone hedges overlooking the meadow where sheep graze across the fields beyond to as far as the coast. Alternatively, enter the peaceful serenity of the walled tropical garden featuring huge local stones, bamboos, sculptures, huge hostas and a raised, heated, decked area with comfortable seating and twinkling lights where you can enjoy a few sun-downers or just secret away on a balmy sunny afternoon with a drink and a good read.
Location: Meadowview Cottage is peacefully situated in the quintessential Cornish hamlet of Trelash, far from the madding crowd, yet within 15 minutes from the stunning North Cornwall coast
There are many food serving pubs and restaurants along the coast and inland. For fine dining we have Nathan Outlaw’s two Michelin star restaurant in Port Isaac, his Seafood & Grill Restaurant at St Enodoc Hotel, Rock, Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant in Padstow and Langmans Restaurant, Callington.
Debbie and Roger look forward to welcoming you to the natural beauty and magical mystical charm of North Cornwall, known to seduce those who visit and where things are done 'dreckly'.
Relaxation at its Best by Rob & Becky on January 6th 2016
A very relaxing and peaceful week. Lovely evenings on the decking together, thanks to Debbie and Roger in putting so much thought and attention to the cottage and gardens.
Just Perfect by MWNOJ on January 6th 2016
After a busy week of sightseeing in London and Bath, Meadowview cottage was the perfect relaxing base in which to explore Cornwall. Being from the New York area, we wanted an escape from our busy lives, a place to decompress and get away from it all, and we found it at Meadowview cottage. The cottage is located in beautiful Cornwall. The location is tranquil, beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Upon arriving at the cottage, we were immediately met by one of the owners Debbie. We arrived one hour prior to check in and everything was ready to go and Debbie was extremely welcoming. I had ordered online some food shopping to be delivered to the cottage, and everything was unpacked and put in the fridge prior to arrival! Debbie also provided us with a wealth of local knowledge which made our venturing out easier. As for the cottage, since we were traveling from overseas, I was concerned about luggage and packed light. No worries to be had though because the owners, Debbie and Roger, have honestly thought of EVERYTHING! From washing powder for the washer to extra napkins, I needn't have worried because it was all provided . Cooking was a pleasure in the kitchen which has every amenity. The accommodation was spotless and very well appointed. The location was very peaceful, overlooking a meadow with grazing sheep. The perfect place to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine, of which we did plenty of both :-) . We ventured out when we had to to the lovely sea side towns of Port William (great pub there recommended by Debbie), Tintangel, and Boscastle. All of the people we encountered in Cornwall were so lovely - friendly and welcoming ! We were traveling with our two daughters, aged 9 and 7. We visited the Trehorne (sp) Leisure Farm which was a nice day out with plenty for the girls to do. We also visited the Tamar Otter Farm which we all also enjoyed. There was just enough to do before wanting to get back to the relaxation the cottage provided. This was our first time renting a vacation home and we were very pleased. As my daughters said "This place feels just like a home". Debbie and Roger have something special at the cottage - you can tell that it has had a lot of thought, care, hard work and love behind it, and it shows! We will always look back at this week fondly and if any friends or relatives are looking to visit this part of the world, we know EXACTLY where to send them!!
What a way to bring in New Year by Dennis & Yvonne on December 28th 2015
Fabulous, cliff top walks during the day and a sauna in the evening. A really lovely place to stay
An outstanding, immaculate luxury Cottage by Pontefract on September 20th 2015
Great welcome to a fantastic cottage in a lovely quiet location. The cleanest property we have stayed in, and well equipped. Nice touch the diary of how the original building was transformed to this amazing place. Location is great for places like Bude, Wadebridge, Padstow, Boscastle and many more. No critism at all, except we wish the weather had been a bit better to use the BBQ - did not stop us using the other outside space with the funky patio heater. Debbie and Roger make your stay special - many thanks
