Old Bank House in Cark in Cartmel is a large holiday cottage in Cumbria that sleeps 11 within 6 bedrooms. If you are looking for a large holiday property that has easy access to the Lake District National Park as well as the Cumbrian coast line, Old Bank House is worthy of serious consideration. This self-catering holiday home is set over three floors. It has bags of character and charm, very traditional and Cumbrian cottage-styled property – a lovely warm and cosy home in which to stay.
The kitchen at Old Bank House has a double electric oven and gas hob as well as a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and a microwave. Meals can be enjoyed either within the dining area to the side of the kitchen or within the more formal dining room with seating around large table, backed by a big wood burner in the feature inglenook fireplace.
The lounge is equally warm and cosy with sofas, again a wood burner set in an inglenook fireplace keep you warm on a cold winter’s day. There is also a reading area to the side of the entrance hall, ideal for escaping the kids for a peaceful moment.
There are six bedrooms at the Old Bank House, these are set over three floors. These include:
A family bathroom is available with a bath and a shower over the bath and a further shower room has a shower WC and wash hand basin. There is also a ground floor WC with a wash hand basin.
A cot and highchair are also available and there is roadside parking to the side of the cottage.
Cark in Cartmel is a popular tourist village, ideally situated for a range of places to stay including Holker Hall and the South of the Lake District. There are a range of very high quality and famous restaurants nearby, while the National Hunt racecourse and the Lakeland Motor Museum are just a few examples of great days out. A short drive away, you can visit the popular Victorian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands and in the opposite direction, Lake Windermere is approximately 15 miles distant. This is an attractive holiday cottage in an equally attractive location for exploring the South of the Lake District and the Cumbrian coast line.
