Lily Hall is a luxurious haven with incredible views of the surrounding Lake District countryside. This award-winning property sleeps up to eight people and two dogs in the tranquil location of Ennerdale.
Lily Hall is a peaceful slice of Lake District luxury boasting staggering views and top comforts. With four well-appointed bedrooms (two en suite) and spacious socialising areas, it is a perfect retreat for the whole party.
Found on the edge of the village of Ennerdale Bridge, Lily Hall benefits from a feeling of complete isolation whilst still being just a short walk from two popular pubs. The newly-built house has been sympathetically thought out to provide the perfect balance of traditional-style character and modern comfort. During the day the fell views are breathtaking and at night the dark skies are perfect for stargazing.
The valley of Ennerdale is a secluded and undisturbed gem that remains mostly undiscovered compared to other areas of the Lake District. The forested head of the valley is home to wildlife including deer, badgers and red squirrels, whilst the depths of Ennerdale Water are a habitat for rare Attic Char and otters. The walking in the area is exceptional with a choice of gentle potters, mountain hikes, and everything in between. Alternatively, the area's cycling opportunities are phenomenal with forest trails, bridleways, and fell roads to choose from. You could even get out on horseback thanks to the nearby stables at Bradley's.
Ennerdale Bridge is a lovely village with a strong community feel. One of the two pubs is run by the community and severs home-made food and real ales, whilst The Gather is a welcoming cafe offering sweet treats and light meals. The cafe also doubles up as a village shop - perfect for picking up your essential groceries.
Within easy reach by car are Cockermouth, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, and Whitehaven, a Georgian harbour town with a long maritime history. Whatever you do with your time, you always know that the luxurious elegance of Lily Hall is there to welcome you back.
