The 80 acres of estate grounds are made up of 30 acres of gardens and the remainder woodland. Blaithwaite Stables is a carefully renovated old stable building that comfortably sleeps up to 20 guests spread out amongst eight bedrooms, including two with en-suite wet room and five with en-suite shower cubicle.
The eco-cottage comes with biomass central heating, bike storage, wheelchair access and private parking for 20 cars. The Stables overlook an old courtyard that accesses a beautiful orchard, mini-golf course, and garden chess set. Walk the grounds with your dogs and enjoy the fascinating wetlands, three ponds, and rare specialist trees.
The owners offer a wealth of activities for guests, including clay pigeon shooting, archery, laser tag, mountain boarding, relaxing guided walks and craft workshops.
If you can tear yourself away from these diversions, the estate is set midway between Keswick and Carlisle, where you can find a great array of shops, restaurants, and bars, or wander further afield and explore Lake District National Park or the beaches along Solway Firth.
