This beautiful cottage is full of character, having being skilfully converted from part of one of Derbyshire's oldest surviving water mills, just half a mile from Bradbourne and five miles from Ashbourne.

Great care has been taken to preserve the fascinating history of The Watermill, with exposed mill workings making a stunning feature in the lower ground floor sitting room, reaching up through the main sitting room on the ground floor and into one of the family bedrooms.

This Peak District cottage provides quality accommodation, with exposed timbers, oak beams and more than enough space for all to enjoy.

Enter into this lovely cottage through the sitting room on the lower ground floor, which has a games console and shares a floor with a shower room and a utility room.

There is a kitchen with a dining area on the ground floor, plus the main sitting room, which provides a great spot to put your feet up and relax after a day exploring this scenic area.

Upstairs, you will find a selection of seven lovely bedrooms, of which two enjoy their own en-suite facilities and outside, there are three wonderful spaces to enjoy!

There is a hot tub on the patio at the front of the property, plus garden furniture on a patio to the rear and in a second, elevated patio reached with a short walk over a bridge across the mill stream.

The rear patio is also close to the restored mill pond and working water wheels, a real fascination and a lovely place to sit and soak up the sunshine.

Surrounded by some of Derbyshire’s prettiest scenery, on the doorstep, the Tissington Trail offers good walking and cycling opportunities and the village of Tissington itself is a real step back in time, complete with Tissington Hall.

There are numerous walks almost from the door of this Peak District cottage, along with Dovedale just a short drive away, not to mention the wealth of market towns, pretty villages, historic houses and spectacular scenery all within easy reach.

In a stunning location, this fabulous converted water mill is a wonderful base for discovering the delights of the Peak District, at any time of year.

Absolutely fabulous break away with a group of friends. House had everything required for a comfortable stay. Nice that all 14 of us could sit together at the kitchen table and in the lounge. Already returning next year!
