We had a lovely time at Riverside House. The house was luxurious and you really had thought of everything with all the finishing touches. We particularly liked the proximity to the Monsal Trail for dog walking.

Fabulous cottage, beautiful surroundings
September 11th 2019
What a fabulous cottage set in beautiful surroundings. The cottage is exceptional with everything you need for a family holiday. The lounge is the focal point of the cottage with a log burning stove and enough logs to burn for a year. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. The cottage is within a two minute walk to get onto the Monsal Dale Trail. Riverside House is exceptional, I can't recommend this place more highly, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and dealing with the host Wendy was also exceptional. We shall return!
Cooking for a crowd was easy
June 29th 2019
We had a wonderful time staying at Riverside House to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with our family. The house is beautiful with lots of space and is very comfortably furnished. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped and spacious, so cooking for a crowd was very easy. There was plenty of cupboard storage space and we were glad of the two fridges and freezer. The garden is very private and was great for eating out and to be able to step out of the house and walk along the river and up to the railway line was great. The games room is excellent and the provision of board games was fantastic. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. It is so well loved and looked after - we will definitely be wanting to come back for another family get together. Thank you Wendy.
Couldn't ask for more!

A family holiday in this spacious, clean and welcoming holiday cottage. It has absolutely everthing that you could want. We enjoyed good weather and the outdoor patio area with a BBQ and just watching the world go by listening to the gurgling river. Our dogs enjoyed the local walks from the doorstep along the river and on the traffic free Monsal Trail (also great for cycling too). The local pub is one mile and was friendly with hearty pub grub. The final bonus was the large games room for family fun. Highly recommend Riverside House for family and group holidays.
Home from home!
April 26th 2019
We stayed at Riverside House with all the family to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. It was home from home. Spacious, beautifully equipped with everything you could think of. So it rained. Did not make a scrap of difference. We stoked up the wood burner and actually had the time to be a real family playing board games and cooking together. And the welcome packs were such a bonus. We are already planning on when we can visit again!

We had a fantastic time at your lovely house. Even the online pictures don't really do justice to the size and layout and setting of the house which were all amazing. It was also spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The unlimited supply of logs was a real bonus and we really enjoyed the welcoming fires, although we were very lucky with the brilliant weather. In conclusion we had a wonderful week at an amazing house and could find no fault whatsoever, only praise! We would certainly like to stay there again.
Cannot fault the accommodation
December 7th 2018
We all had a brilliant time at Riverside House and cannot fault the accommodation or the facilities. The house was absolutely beautiful and the location was fantastic. We found the extras like the games room, Sky TV, log burner and board games really added to our stay. The close proximity of the house to the Monsal Trail was great for the dogs too! The detailed information and travel instructions were really helpful and made getting the property and settled in very easy. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
One of the best we have stayed in
November 15th 2018
We had a wonderful stay at Riverside House, the cottage was fantastic - one of the best we have stayed in. It was beautifully clean, facilities and equipment provided were faultless, you truly thought of everything. The location was very relaxing and we had a perfect weekend. It was all very homely and we didn't want to leave. Also, thank you for all your help and the information you provided in the run-up to our stay. We will be recommending you and hope to be back in the future.

Our weekend was absolutely fab! Everyone in the party was so pleased that we'd found such a gorgeous, spacious and cosy place to stay. The kitchen was so well equipped! A few of the girls were keen on booking Riverside House in the future for family get togethers too!
Brilliantly equipped and spacious

Brilliantly equipped, spacious, homely place. Brilliant location for walking and sight seeing. We had a wonderful family weekend together. Wendy was a really helpful host.

We had a really lovely stay at your home, thank you. The games room/table tennis was brilliant when we had a rainy day. We will seriously contemplate returning and as a group of 12 adults everything was great at the holiday cottage.
Loved the games room!
July 28th 2018
A lovely cottage with peaceful and relaxing surroundings by the river. Everything we needed was in the cottage with rooms big enough to manoeurvre a wheelchair around every room. There was a good selection of board games, books, cards, dominoes and plenty of DVDs to watch. And the games room was excellent.

We had a wonderful weekend, helped by the perfect weather, beautiful surroundings and lovely house. The children loved the games room and we all enjoyed relaxing in the garden. Mum and Dad had a lovely 70th birthdays celebration. We all enjoyed the fantastic walks straight from the house and seeing the water voles - though I missed them! We would definitely recommend the house and my 12 year old said it was the best holiday ever - high praise from a preteen!
March 15th 2018
The house was brilliant, lovely location and absolutely perfect for a group of friends catching up. We hardly turned on the TV except for the a bit of rugby. Absolutely loved being so close to the Monsal Trail and had no idea how easy it was to reach and just stunning views and fun exploring. The snow was a real bonus for us. Loads of pots, pans, cutlery and everything else in the kitchen. Loved the big table, we had some wonderful meals. Wood burner is such a great idea and it really kept us toasty.

I just want to say thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. This was our second visit and we'd be more than happy to return again.

The birthday surprise went very well and we had a lovely stay at Riverside House. The house and location are beautiful (my husband said that Riverside House would be his dream home). We sampled the food at the Red Lion which was excellent as you had said. The only disappointment was not being able to stay longer! January 2017
Large living and dining areas
September 12th 2015
We liked) large living and dining areas so it didn't feel that you were on top of each other which is brilliant for 8 adults and 3 small children. Table tennis was great for my dad and the 3 brothers, lots of old rivalries re-kindled. Much as I hate to say it in such a lovely location the bit TV was great for chilling out in the evening.
