Cannot fault the accommodation
We all had a brilliant time at Riverside House and cannot fault the accommodation or the facilities. The house was absolutely beautiful and the location was fantastic. We found the extras like the games room, Sky TV, log burner and board games really added to our stay. The close proximity of the house to the Monsal Trail was great for the dogs too! The detailed information and travel instructions were really helpful and made getting the property and settled in very easy. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

One of the best we have stayed in
November 15th 2018
We had a wonderful stay at Riverside House, the cottage was fantastic - one of the best we have stayed in. It was beautifully clean, facilities and equipment provided were faultless, you truly thought of everything. The location was very relaxing and we had a perfect weekend. It was all very homely and we didn't want to leave. Also, thank you for all your help and the information you provided in the run-up to our stay. We will be recommending you and hope to be back in the future.

Our weekend was absolutely fab! Everyone in the party was so pleased that we'd found such a gorgeous, spacious and cosy place to stay. The kitchen was so well equipped! A few of the girls were keen on booking Riverside House in the future for family get togethers too!
Brilliantly equipped and spacious

Brilliantly equipped, spacious, homely place. Brilliant location for walking and sight seeing. We had a wonderful family weekend together. Wendy was a really helpful host.

We had a really lovely stay at your home, thank you. The games room/table tennis was brilliant when we had a rainy day. We will seriously contemplate returning and as a group of 12 adults everything was great at the holiday cottage.
Loved the games room!
July 28th 2018
A lovely cottage with peaceful and relaxing surroundings by the river. Everything we needed was in the cottage with rooms big enough to manoeurvre a wheelchair around every room. There was a good selection of board games, books, cards, dominoes and plenty of DVDs to watch. And the games room was excellent.

We had a wonderful weekend, helped by the perfect weather, beautiful surroundings and lovely house. The children loved the games room and we all enjoyed relaxing in the garden. Mum and Dad had a lovely 70th birthdays celebration. We all enjoyed the fantastic walks straight from the house and seeing the water voles - though I missed them! We would definitely recommend the house and my 12 year old said it was the best holiday ever - high praise from a preteen!

The house was brilliant, lovely location and absolutely perfect for a group of friends catching up. We hardly turned on the TV except for the a bit of rugby. Absolutely loved being so close to the Monsal Trail and had no idea how easy it was to reach and just stunning views and fun exploring. The snow was a real bonus for us. Loads of pots, pans, cutlery and everything else in the kitchen. Loved the big table, we had some wonderful meals. Wood burner is such a great idea and it really kept us toasty.

I just want to say thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. This was our second visit and we'd be more than happy to return again.

We had a really amazing time in the beautiful house! It was very cosy and warm and the kitchen was great to use. I think we'll be back hopefully next year! April 2017

The birthday surprise went very well and we had a lovely stay at Riverside House. The house and location are beautiful (my husband said that Riverside House would be his dream home). We sampled the food at the Red Lion which was excellent as you had said. The only disappointment was not being able to stay longer! January 2017
Large living and dining areas
September 12th 2015
We liked) large living and dining areas so it didn't feel that you were on top of each other which is brilliant for 8 adults and 3 small children. Table tennis was great for my dad and the 3 brothers, lots of old rivalries re-kindled. Much as I hate to say it in such a lovely location the bit TV was great for chilling out in the evening.
Lovely walks on the doorstep
August 1st 2015
A fantastic location with lovely walks on the doorstep. A spacious property with large living room and dining room where whole family could gather to relax and spend time together. The games room was great for the kids. We would definitely book again and recommend to friends and our dog loved it too. Your website gave us all the info (and more) that we could possibly need to make the most of the local area. Your correspondence is also excellent and being kept informed throughout the booking process was reassuring.
Great fun in the games room
July 18th 2015
We had a wonderful time in your marvellous cottage, absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful property, we had great fun in the games room and we all loved the surround sound in the living room. We hope to return. One of our favourite holidays.
We loved being back here
May 23rd 2015
We loved being back in a house which has served us so well in the past - whole family immediately relaxed. We loved the wonderful location and so much to do in the immediate locality for a wide range of ages and interests. Also the space, feeling of being welcomed by Caren, Wendy's emails, enormous amount of kitchen equipment, bedding etc.
You had thought of everything
March 20th 2015
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was a celebration of our Golden Wedding anniversary. Young and not-so-young were very impressed with the property and felt that you had thought of everything, in terms of what we might need. It was perfect for what we required. Thank you.
We had an absolutely BRILLIANT time
January 23rd 2015
All 12 of us had an absolutely BRILLIANT time, I honestly haven't had such a lovely weekend in forever. You have a beautiful house, we are all jealous! There was absolutely nothing that we needed that wasn't in the house. The house feels very homely and it was always warm (for the size of it, and arriving in snow, I was surprised at this!). Loved that there was the stuff there to build a fire! I've already recommended it to people at work.
Setting and location superb.
October 5th 2014
The setting and location was superb. To be able to walk to many destinations from the doorstep was fantastic. My fondest memory was sitting around the wood burner in the evenings after a good days walking chatting with friends with a glass of wine! The whole of Riverside House is one of comfort and warmth, although quite a big house, it never felt cold. The lounge was the hub of life during our stay. Being dog walkers, the use of an outside tap to clean dogs and the garage (to keep muddy boots) meant that all muddy kit stayed outside of the house. The drying room was a bonus to dry wet kit/towels after walking. October 2014
Spacious, clean, well equipped
September 24th 2014
A lovely house in a beautiful setting. Spacious, clean, well equipped accommodation, light and airy, lots of room. I have to say it was perfect and we didn't miss anything. September 2014
A beautiful place
August 13th 2014
To have all your loved ones in such a beautiful place all together has been a gift. The best 40th present a girl could wish for. Riverside House is stunning, a real labour of love. With such natural beauty around it is not hard to love. Kinsley group (December 2013)
Very homely and warm
