To have all your loved ones in such a beautiful place all together has been a gift. The best 40th present a girl could wish for. Riverside House is stunning, a real labour of love. With such natural beauty around it is not hard to love. Kinsley group (December 2013)

It has the big wow factor by The Healy Family, May 2014 on August 13th 2014
We all enjoyed your house. It has the big wow factor when you go in but at the same time was very relaxing, even with four children five and under. It is in a wonderful setting and the fenced off garden was great. Everyone really appreciated the wonderful showers and we were lucky with some great sunshine during the day.
Great facilities and beautiful setting. by The Harrington group on August 13th 2014
The whole place is great, the accommodation is a really good size for 10 people, good bathroom/toilet/shower facilities for a large group and a really well equipped kitchen. Great sized lounge for a large group too. We loved the beautiful setting, sitting in the garden in the sunshine, the river running by and enjoying a glass of prosecco with friends
Amazing week by Gooding on April 1st 2017
We had a really amazing time in the beautiful house! It was very cosy and warm and the kitchen was great to use. I think we'll be back hopefully next year! April 2017
Birthday surprise! by Lamber on January 6th 2017
The birthday surprise went very well and we had a lovely stay at Riverside House. The house and location are beautiful (my husband said that Riverside House would be his dream home). We sampled the food at the Red Lion which was excellent as you had said. The only disappointment was not being able to stay longer! January 2017
Large living and dining areas by Prosser on September 12th 2015
We liked) large living and dining areas so it didn't feel that you were on top of each other which is brilliant for 8 adults and 3 small children. Table tennis was great for my dad and the 3 brothers, lots of old rivalries re-kindled. Much as I hate to say it in such a lovely location the bit TV was great for chilling out in the evening.
Lovely walks on the doorstep by Lamb on August 1st 2015
A fantastic location with lovely walks on the doorstep. A spacious property with large living room and dining room where whole family could gather to relax and spend time together. The games room was great for the kids. We would definitely book again and recommend to friends and our dog loved it too. Your website gave us all the info (and more) that we could possibly need to make the most of the local area. Your correspondence is also excellent and being kept informed throughout the booking process was reassuring.
Great fun in the games room by Armstrong on July 18th 2015
We had a wonderful time in your marvellous cottage, absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful property, we had great fun in the games room and we all loved the surround sound in the living room. We hope to return. One of our favourite holidays.
We loved being back here by Watts on May 23rd 2015
We loved being back in a house which has served us so well in the past - whole family immediately relaxed. We loved the wonderful location and so much to do in the immediate locality for a wide range of ages and interests. Also the space, feeling of being welcomed by Caren, Wendy's emails, enormous amount of kitchen equipment, bedding etc.
You had thought of everything by Toon on March 20th 2015
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was a celebration of our Golden Wedding anniversary. Young and not-so-young were very impressed with the property and felt that you had thought of everything, in terms of what we might need. It was perfect for what we required. Thank you.
We had an absolutely BRILLIANT time by O'Doherty on January 23rd 2015
All 12 of us had an absolutely BRILLIANT time, I honestly haven't had such a lovely weekend in forever. You have a beautiful house, we are all jealous! There was absolutely nothing that we needed that wasn't in the house. The house feels very homely and it was always warm (for the size of it, and arriving in snow, I was surprised at this!). Loved that there was the stuff there to build a fire! I've already recommended it to people at work.
Setting and location superb. by Jacobs on October 5th 2014
The setting and location was superb. To be able to walk to many destinations from the doorstep was fantastic. My fondest memory was sitting around the wood burner in the evenings after a good days walking chatting with friends with a glass of wine! The whole of Riverside House is one of comfort and warmth, although quite a big house, it never felt cold. The lounge was the hub of life during our stay. Being dog walkers, the use of an outside tap to clean dogs and the garage (to keep muddy boots) meant that all muddy kit stayed outside of the house. The drying room was a bonus to dry wet kit/towels after walking. October 2014
Spacious, clean, well equipped by Percy on September 24th 2014
A lovely house in a beautiful setting. Spacious, clean, well equipped accommodation, light and airy, lots of room. I have to say it was perfect and we didn't miss anything. September 2014
Lovely, charming and homely by Osterlie on July 19th 2014
Riverside House is a lovely, charming and homely house. It is very spacious and was ideal for our group of 2 children, 2 teenagers and 7 adults. It is very well equipped and perfectly maintained. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. We had nice weather and could enjoy outdoor meals by the barbecue. The area is great for walks to nearby villages and there are several attractions within biking/driving distance. July 2014

Great sized lounge for a large group too. We loved the beautiful setting, sitting in the garden in the sunshine, the river running by and enjoying a glass of Prosecco with friends - bliss! June 2014

Quiet and peaceful with lovely walks by Hilliard on April 26th 2014
The location was very quiet and peaceful with lovely walks from the house. There was lots of space in the property for people to spread themselves out as opposed to being cramped in one main room. Downstairs bedroom and shower for elderly parents and everything was of an excellent standard. April/May 2014

Suprise 60th birthday celebration by Sam Ryan on October 4th 2013
We all had a fabulous time at Riverside House, the house was beautiful and it was a brilliant suprise for my mother-in-law for her 60th birthday. I think it is safe to say we will be looking to visit again next year. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time and the kids (and adults) loved the games room - brilliant being separated from the main house. October 2013
Friendly, cosy house by Caroline Hutton on September 13th 2013
We liked the friendly, cosy feel of the house and the welcome warmth of the log burner. The facilities were of a good quality and everything we needed was available, especially the items available for the children (a great help for a family). The maps and information were especially useful. September 2013
Spacious and very well equipped, home from home feel by Hilary Lambert on August 3rd 2013
Very spacious and extremely well equipped with plenty of crockery and utensils so that plates etc didn't need washing up beforehand in order to eat aother meal, quite often there are only enough plates in a cupboard for one sitting so that was a bonus. The bed linen smelled lovely of washing. Such a variety of games to suit all ages and the games room is great, even providing a beer fridge, how thoughtful. Lovely privacy in the garden and secure boundaries. Such a wonderful location next to the bridge and a short climb up to the Monsal Trail. It certainly has a home from home feel making the occupants fell relaxed and comfortable straight away. After a long walk, we returned with a dirty dog and were very happy to find an outside tap and a hose pipe (adjustable) to shampoo our dog to get clean and dry before coming back in the house.
