It was better than we expected!
This property turned out to be in a great location for our holiday requirements. The property is in very good condition and is clearly well cared for. Thanks for a great holiday!
A very nice bungalow in a very quiet and peaceful location.
An ideally situated property for easy access to the beautiful Peak District. Everything that was described about this property was accurate and it more than met our expectations. I would certainly recommend this property to family and friends.
A lovely property in an ideal location
Linbery was a lovely property in a quiet little cul de sac, with a public house at the end of the road and another within five minute walk. We found it was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was a perfect location for exploring both the peaks and the potteries. Matlock was only a ten minute drive as was Critch Tram Museum. The only downside we could see with this property was the stairs upto the mezzanine which was both steep and open. There was a child gate at the top but there was no way you could fix one at the bottom to stop little ones going up. Whilst this was no problem to us it could be for anyone with children under Five.
There's a lot to see and learn about in the Peak District
If your holiday is aimed at exploring the peak district and taking advantage of the heritage properties around in the area then this location is ideal for your requirements. If you like walking then don't miss the Monsal Trail and you are spoilt for choice with houses and gardens with Chatsworth,Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall all within easy reach. For eating out there are ideal public houses in less than five minutes drive
Lovely bungalow
This was a really comfortable bungalow had a lovely week the surrounding area was really nice. Carsington water well worth a visit for a nice flat walk, and the Tramway museum was a nice trip. The bungalow could do with the paving outside sorting out my elderly mother found it a bit unsteady underfoot. but that is the only moan.
The position was good for visiting many of the great houses; very easy journeys, well placed for avoiding traffic jams. Three pubs within walking distance serving good food, a plus.
We felt very welcome at Linbery and it provided a handy base to see family. It was spotlessly clean. The neighbours were very friendly and we loved the Peacock Pub at the top of the road!
Great location; very peaceful and quiet. Lovely garden and good standard of accommodation. Plenty of places to visit not far from accommodation such as Derby, Matlock, Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Eyam. Gorgeous reservoir at Carsington, ideal for walking and wildlife.
The cottage is spacious, tastefully furnished and any possible wish catered for! Plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses for entertaining guests, lovely original oil paintings on the walls. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this "home from home".
Good location for exploration (by car); three pubs in easy walking distance; clean and convenient.
We have to say that the accommodation exceeded our expectations! This was a very handy location for all the places we visited. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
An excellent spacious property in a good, convenient location.
Great property in a great location. We would love to go back!
The property was a nice place to relax in, there was a good vista from the garden and 1st floor, and a couple of good local pubs.
A very convenient location.
There were pubs within walking distance for nice meals. The area was good for visiting parks and other local places of interest. We were visiting relatives so an added bonus they were not far away. The cottage had everything we needed so a nice relaxing holiday all round.
Good location, easy to get to with plenty of places to visit nearby. Accommodation was very clean and could not fault it.
It was a real home away from home. It was very thoughtful of the owners to provide those little things such as condiments, sticky tape, glue, sandwich bags but to name a few.
Comfortable accommodation in an ideal location for visiting the various attractions.
The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was in a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac and we felt very much at home. We will definitely book Linbery again when we next go to Derbyshire.
Great location and easy to get to tourist locations, especially the 3 excellent National Trust properties we visited. Very comfortable cottage and short walking distance to two excellent pubs serving good food was a real bonus.
It was easy to get to from the M1. It was nice to have a property with a bath after a hard days walking.
The property was in a great location and in a quiet cul-de-sac. Great for visiting the local area.
Linbery was a very clean, cosy, light and well equipped cottage. We appreciated the thought that has gone into this property. It was very peaceful with a pretty 'cottagey' garden, and is well situated for some great walks and places to visit in the Matlock area of the Peak District.
Very clean and well presented property, spacious accommodation with lovely viewing area. Would definitely recommend as a perfect place to stay for a week.
The location was great, it was easy to drive to tourist places. The house was excellent.
A great location and a very nice property with good facilities. The property is really nice and perfect for a family of 4 where the kids do not mind sharing a room (in separate beds).
The bungalow was very clean and well appointed. It is ideally situated for visiting anywhere in the Peak District. Despite being easily accessible it is in a quiet location making it pretty much ideal all round. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would not hesitate to recommend Linbery to anyone visiting the area.
Linbery was great place to stay. The bungalow was very cosy in a quite cul-de-sac looking over some fantastic views. I would definitely recommend staying here again for pleasure or business.
We had a lovely few days in the cottage. My sister and myself accompanied my elderly mum - everything was on the ground floor so it was perfect for someone who is not very mobile. Delighted with everything, even the weather!
A beautiful warm and cosy cottage which was central to everything. The property was so warm and inviting.
This was a very comfortable cottage in a great location. I would be very happy to book it again.
Linbery was a warm and very comfortable cottage with easy access to the Derbyshire Dales, wonderful views and excellent parking.
Linbery is the best holiday home we have ever stayed in.
A really lovely, clean and welcoming bungalow. It was very tastefully decorated with everything we needed. Our daughter especially loved the first floor 'viewing room' which overlooked the open countryside. We had a very comfortable stay here, and are happy to recommend it to others.
