Situated on the edge of the charming village of Goodleigh not far from the North Devon coast which is about 20 minutes away or you can venture to the wilds of Exmoor again only 20 minutes away. The chapel has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard and it makes use of the original features by retaining the exposed chapel beams and large windows, creating a feeling of light and space.The combination of the old building and a high-spec modern, interior works really well together and provides guests with a charming and unique holiday home.
The living area is situated on the entry level and makes the most of the high vaulted ceilings and large chapel windows.The light and airy room has large sofas ideally placed for either watching TV (with Sky) or keeping warm beside the wood burner. There is also an X-Box, a DVD player and a sound system, making The Old Chapel very well equipped for home entertainment There is a good range of books for all ages, a selection of DVD’s and some handy games for evening entertainment.
The well-equipped kitchen is to the right as you enter the house and has been finished to a very high standard, with contemporary white units elegantly complimenting the duck egg blue work surfaces.
In the centre of the kitchen is the large dining table, which can comfortably accommodate 10 people. Beside the table is a full-size piano.
The kitchen features a good range of appliances to make self-catering at The OId Chapel enjoyable, these include a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a double oven, an induction hob, a microwave and a coffee machine. Downstairs at the house, in the separate utility area, you will find a second fridge, two washing machines and a tumble dryer.
The double aspect Master Bedroom has a wood frame double bed neatly placed to one side of the room. For storage there is a free standing double wardrobe and a large chest of drawers.
This beautiful bedroom benefits from its own en-suite bathroom, which is fitted with a walk-in shower, a WC and a large wash-basin.
The middle bedroom is a good-sized double/twin with handy zip and link beds, which on request can be made into a large double bed, or left as two full size single beds. There is also a chest of drawers and two bed side tables with reading lamps.
The twin bedroom has a lovely feature wall depicting a forest. The bedroom has two single beds, one is a cabin bed with storage facilities underneath, whilst the second is a low single bed. There is also a large book case.
The stylish bunk room is a firm favourite with children staying at The Old Chapel. The grey metal frame bunk beds beautifully blend in with the feature wall that displays the New York skyline. There is also a small double wardrobe ideal for storing holiday attire.
The double bedroom is located at the end of the corridor and has been tastefully decorated with sage green walls that beautifully complement the wood floors and white furniture.
Outside is lovely garden with children's play frame
