Property Details

Enjoy a family-friendly self-catering holiday in the East Devon countryside where the kids can help feed the friendly on-site animals. on Cider Barrel at Smallicombe Farm in Colyton is a bright, spacious cottage in what was once part of a stone barn, and it is hard to picture a more perfect spot for a family break. The farm is home to our breed pigs, cows and sheep, and guests are welcome to feed and pet the animals for that real taste of country life.

Cider Barrel is a coastal cottage near Seaton, one of four set around the original courtyard, and it effortlessly captures rustic chic. The open plan kitchen, living and dining space enjoy views of the shared grassy garden, and you will be free to step outside into the fresh air straight from the dining area. The three bedrooms comprise two doubles (one with Superking bed) and a twin. There are two communal gardens on the farm, and one has a children's play area complete with a Sunken trampoline, pirate ship, swings and a slide.

For summer holidays, the outdoor kitchen has everything you need to embrace al fresco dining, including a barbeque, a pizza oven and a tennis table. And, when it comes to those long walks to burn off all the calories, you will find the surrounding area laced with woodland walks and trails. Colyton is also at one end of the Seaton Tramway - where original open-top 1930's trams conduct you at sedate speeds along the wildlife-rich Ax Estuary to the beach at Seaton. There is no better way to travel to the beach form your holiday cottage at Smallicombe Farm!
