Located on Yetland Farm, just a few miles from the pretty seaside village of Combe Martin is April Cottage. The character three bedroom farm cottage, comfortably sleeps up to six and is ideally located for exploring North Devon.
Downstairs at April there is a classic country kitchen featuring a pine table with seating for up to six, a washing machine, a electric cooker with gas hob, a fridge/freezer and a microwave.
At the rear of the cottage is a good sized living room with comfy sofas, flatscreen TV and DVD player. An electric wood-burner is also provided for chilly winter nights spent relaxing in the cottage.
There are three bedrooms at April Cottage, a lovely double with super-king sized bed, built-in wardrobe and views of the courtyard, and two twin bedrooms. All the bedrooms share the family bathroom, which is located at the foot of the stairs and is fitted with a bath, separate shower, loo and sink.
Outside the cottage there is a large communal courtyard with BBQ and chunky wood picnic tables. Guests can also take advantage of the onsite facilities, including a designated dog walking field with beautiful coastal views, a small tennis court, a children's play area and two indoor games rooms featuring table tennis and a pool table.
April Cottage is located within easy reach of Combe Martin, where you can play on a pretty beach where dolphins can often be spotted swimming. The village also has a good range of shops and places to eat, including a few pubs and take away restaurants.
There are many excellent walks around Yetland Farm and Combe Martin. Enjoy the beauty of the South West Coast Path or experience the wilds of Exmoor. Horse riding and cycling are also widely available.
Less than a 15 minute drive from the cottage is the award-winning Woolacombe beach and the pretty harbour town of Ilfracombe. Barnstaple and many other popular towns and villages are also within easy reach.
North Devon has an abundance of attractions to suit all ages. For the little ones, Watermouth Castle on the outskirts of Barnstaple is ideal, as is The Big Sheep and The Milky Way near Bideford. For teenagers, Key Pitts near Ilfracombe offers quad biking and several companies at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton provide water-sport lessons, including jet skiing at Watermouth Cove.
