Property Details

The Farmhouse has extensive grounds, with a pretty south facing lawn to the front with mature shrubs, roses and azaleas and wonderful views over the undulating farm land beyond. To the rear of the cottage the gardens stretch up the hill revealing a private terraced rockery and orchard and beyond that there is a peaceful wood and large pond, where children should be supervised.An old stone barn has been cleared and now houses a skittle alley which will provide hours of fun for all the family.

You enter the house via the front entrance from the garden, leading you into a large reception hall with loads of room for coats and boots.The dining room has a huge old-wood table and chairs for 16 people, perfect for large family meals.

The main lounge is vast with a large Inglenook open fire-place at one end with a wood-burning stove.There is plenty of comfortable seating and a large wall-mounted TV and DVD player.

At one end of the ground floor you can find the large farmhouse kitchen. Appliances include a fridge/freezer, kettle, 4 slice toaster, Sabichi coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, electric oven & grill, induction hob and a four oven Aga.There is a breakfast bar for relaxed breakfasts or a quiet cuppa. Beyond the kitchen is a Utility room withwashing machine, tumble dryer, wash basin and a separate butler sink.there is a small toilet with WC and basin.

the final room on the ground floor is a spacious double bedroom with arm-chair and dresser.

You access the upstairs via a charming hall and grand staircase. The first bedroom has 3 single beds or the option for a king-size bed.

Bedroom 3 has a super-king bed plus a single and an en-suite bathroom. This room has wonderful views over the front of the house and the countryside beyond.

Bedroom 4 has a Superking bed, fitted wardrobe and bedroom furniture.

Bedroom 5 is a double with en-suite bathroom providing two wash basins, a jacuzzi bath, a separate walk-in shower and toilet.

There is a large family bathroom with bath, wash-basin and wc.

Bedroom 6 is another en-suite double with bath with shower attachment, sink and loo.

Bedroom 7, is a large double with en-suite, with walk-in shower basin and wc.

Whilst the farmhouse is set in deepest Devon countryside, it is actually only a 40 min drive to the stunning North Devon beaches at Saunton Sands and Westward Ho!. The historic town of Torrington is 10 minutes away and Exmoor about 20 minutes. So you are perfectly located to explore everything that Devon has to offer with Exeter only 30 minutes away.
