A three-storey traditional house in the coastal village of Hope Cove, located just 120 metres from the beach
There are few more charming places to retreat to after a summer?s day on the sand, or from a bracing winter coastal path walk than Pigeon Post. After having been lovingly refurbished, it is now a delightful 4-bedroom holiday home just moments from the nearest beach.
Effortlessly combining the character of the original building with modern touches such as underfloor heating in the brand-new bathrooms and a showpiece kitchen, this is a home from which you can enjoy your very own Devon adventures.
There are two wood burning stoves, one of which adds a cosy feel to the open plan kitchen and dining area, where most of the family will spend most of their time, either pouring over maps planning excursions, or perhaps tackling a puzzle after a busy day.
Outside, the enclosed garden makes a peaceful spot to while away a sunny afternoon, and with patio furniture and a barbeque, it is perfect for those days when you are content to stay close to home.
Forming part of a much-loved tangle of thatched fisherman?s cottages set slightly back from Inner Hope beach, Pigeon Post is just a short drive away from the sailing town of Salcombe. As a base for a large family or a group of friends to sit back and relax or to embrace adventures by land or sea, Pigeon Post is a truly memorable home from home.

YOUR PHOTOS DON'T DO TAMARIND JUSTICE by Submitted by David Bastable, Hexham on 28/04/2016 on December 20th 2016
I booked Tamarind, Downderry as a surprise 50th birthday celebration for my wife and invited other family members to meet up there. The photographs on the website don't do it justice as the setting was absolutely perfect, the booking process was painless and the quality of the interior & cleanliness was second to none. We had a perfect few days stay and I would highly recommend this letting to anyone. Submitted by David on 28/04/2016
A BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED COMFORTABLE HOUSE by Submitted by Elaine Hopkins, Reading 24/07/2016 on December 20th 2016
We stayed in Tamarind for a week in July. The house is beautifully presented, very comfortable with everything we required and so much more! The view from the lounge and kitchen windows is stunning, and so relaxing to stare out to sea. There is a steep walk into the village down the steps near to the house, and I recommend walking via the road on the way back up! We walked along the beach (shingle) most evenings and enjoyed a drink at the local pub. We would highly recommend this property.
