In a small corner of the stunning South Devon countryside, with fresh sea air and the most beautiful scenery, you will find Carswell Farm. Tucked away on the South Devon coast, our six luxury holiday cottages are right in the heart of our working organic dairy farm and yet only a few minutes walk from the coast path and secluded beaches and coves, including our own private cove.
Corner Cottage was totally refurbished and extended in 2008 to offer wonderful light and airy accommodation for up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms - 2 kingsized (1 ensuite), 2 twins and a room with 2 single beds (one 3' off the ground). Two of these bedrooms are downstairs (double and twin), so ideal for anyone who finds stairs difficult. There are 3 bathrooms - 1 downstairs with a bath, 1 upstairs with an antique roll-top bath & separate shower and the main bedroom upstairs is en-suite with a shower.
The kitchen, dining and living area is open plan with lots of natural light and a woodburner. There is a large sunny garden with a gate through to our lovely wildflower meadow and children's play area - complete with tractor! There are plenty of DVDs, games and toys for the children and fixed stairgates at the top and bottom of the stairs. We can provide travel cots and highchairs on request at no extra charge.
Explore the nearby picturesque towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe or visit the historic port of Plymouth. Why not visit out of season and cosy down by a roaring log fire, or come and see the lambs in spring?
We put fresh local organic milk in each cottage for guests on arrival. Carswell is also the birthplace of the Well Hung Meat Company so our visitors can taste award winning local organic lamb and beef.
Corner Cottage is extremely well equipped with Digital widescreen TV, DVD, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher etc. Thereis a large private garden with table and BBQ. Cots and high chairs available on request. Well behaved dogs are very welcome.
