Property Details

Apartment 1 is situated on the garden level and can be accessed via stairs or a lift. The apartment consists of 3 bedrooms two doubles (double and king-size) one of which is en-suite, with lovely roll top bath and a separate twin bedroom. There is an amazing family bathroom with large wash-basin, vanity mirror, wc and large walk-in shower. The living area is open plan with stunning oak floorboards throughout and a wonderfully bright, spacious feel, extenuated by the glass fronted, full length patio doors that open onto the balcony and offers incredible beach and sea views right across Saunton Sands and Braunton Burrows.

The kitchen is tucked away in one corner and is very well equipped with an electric oven and hob with super-cool hidden extra fan unit that rises out of the top of the cooker at the lightest tough of the dial. There is a stylish coffee maker, dishwasher and washer-dryer as well as all the kitchen utensils you could possibly need.

The dining area is opposite the kitchen and has a chic table and chairs for 6 guests.

The rest of the room has a sofa and chairs, TV with sky, wifi throughout. Off the lounge and through large glass doors guests can access a shared balcony with the most amazing views across the 3 miles of sandy beach at Saunton Sands and the Braunton Burrows to the left or the sea to the right. There are a small table and chairs on the balcony for guests to sit and enjoy the view.The Apartment has underfloor heating throughout.

Outside the Apartment enjoys a small garden area which can be accessed via the master and second double bedroom.

There is a communal garden to the front of The Chalet and a large outside shower and a rack for surfboards and hooks for wet suits as well as direct access to Saunton Sands beach.

Guests have individual key cards providing access to the main entrance and the apartment.

With direct access to the beach guests can enjoy long days surfing, wind-surfing, kite boarding, paddle boarding or just plain swimming. There is a good surf school at the beach where anyone can lean to surf or do anything else that relates to the sea. Saunton Sands stretches for over 3 miles in one direction so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach or a fairly tough morning run straight from the apartment.

The coastline around the Chalet offers wonderful coastal walks straight from the doorstep. Just around the corner from The Chalet is the trendy surf village of Croyde with great pubs like The Thatch and Billy Buds. There is another popular surfing beach at Croyde and a lovely walk over Baggy Point around to Putsborough and yet another 3 miles of sandy beach to Woolacombe the lively seaside village with more great pubs and restaurants.

Ifracombe is further along the coast and boasts Damian Hirst's Verity standing over 20m on the harbour wall. There are also some great restaurants in Ilfracombe including the Michelin star Olive Room.
