Memory House

Memory House was owned by Lady Chichester and was named after her dog, it was completely renovated in 2017 and now provides luxury self-catering accommodation for 7 people in 4 bedrooms.

The house enjoys incredible views over the beach and is surrounded by lovely, wrap-around gardens and a wooden terrace, with hot-tub and garden furniture and BBQ. There is also a handy outside shower ideal for washing sandy feet and surfboards.

Memory House is set on 3 floors, you enter the house through the side door into a large entrance hall full of original features and loads of space for coats and boots, there is also a handy shower room with wc and sink. There are two doors which take you into the open plan kitchen/diner and spacious living room. The Stephen Graver bespoke kitchen, is stylish and bright and full of everything you need for a self-catering holiday with, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven with hob, washer/dryer. Neatly placed in the space by the large kitchen window is a dining table and 7 chairs, there is also a breakfast bar and stools.

The living room is light and spacious with large corner sofa, chairs, wall-mounted smart TV with Sky and SONOS sound system.

The classic stairway leads up to the four bedrooms and bathrooms. The first floor is home to two stunning master bedrooms both are luxuriously furnished with 250 thread count linen, super king sized beds, and large en-suite shower rooms. They both benefit from large bay windows overlooking the sea and beach.

On the second floor, there is an additional double bedroom with a queen sized double bed and a children’s bedroom with a single bed (plus pull-out bed). These are both serviced by a family bathroom fitted with a bath and shower overhead, wash basin and WC.

The house could not be closer to the beach, you only need to cross the road and down a flight of steps and you are on the beach and three miles of golden sand. If you take a stroll along the promenade you can be in the centre of Woolacombe in 5 minutes and enjoy the wealth of lively bars and restaurants and even the oldest night club in England! The beach at Woolacombe offers some of the best surfing, wind-surfing and Kite surfing in the country as well as 3 miles of sandy beach in one direction for a healthy walk. The South West Coastal Path runs all around the stunning coastline and there are cycle paths to follow along the coast or inland to the tougher hills of Exmoor.
