Stunning Farmhouse with a Beautiful Garden , 5 out of 5!
Stunning farm house with a beautiful garden, 5 out of 5! This lovely property was spotless with large comfortable rooms and a very well-equipped kitchen. Our dog especially loved the AGA, we had to bribe him to leave it to go for a walk! We all had a great time and hope to be returning again soon. Thank you Nicola for making our stay so enjoyable. A delightful week in Gould's Farmhouse
September 17th 2020
“ Our family spent a delightful week in Gould’s Farmhouse this September. The gardens and house have areal charm and are plentifully equipped. The weather was kind to us but nonetheless we were grateful for the warmth in the ample conservatory to read and relax. The dining room is a treat – every meal felt like an occasion with so much room in lovely surroundings – the bridge sessions went on well into the evening. Lastly the gardens themselves – from the awesome willow to the September flowers it was splendid to enjoy the odd lunch outside.
A Wonderful Week
September 4th 2020
We have just completed a wonderful week's 3 generation holiday at Gould's Farmhouse, the perfect setting and base for visiting Dorset. Gould's is set in a typical Dorset village full of character, as is the farmhouse. The farmhouse, parts of which date back to the 1600s, has all the modern conveniences you could wish for. The grandchildren loved playing hide and seek around the house and in the large garden which is full of nooks and crannies to hide in We fully recommend it. Would we go there again? YES! . Excellent Accommodation - Ian We had a wonderful week along with 2 children and 4 grandchildren in this lovely old farmhouse in such a beautiful, old, quiet, traditional and unspoilt village in a great location in the middle of Dorset. The accommodation was excellent with many original features to remind us of what it must have been like living in a house like this in previous centuries. The large garden was a great bonus, particularly for the grandchildren, who also benefitted from the village hall children’s’ play a short walk away from the cottage. We also would highly recommend the village pub-The Royal Oak-whose garden area is large and well-equipped. There is also a village shop and a Post Office within easy walking distance as well as a beautiful old church. The coast is easily accessible and there are several National Trust and other properties only a short drive away. We highly recommend this property for a memorable stay. A Very Happy Christmas!
January 2nd 2020
We were a party of 8, 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and a 6 month old baby, 3 generations of my family. The house is very spacious, and has a real homely feel. It was perfect for my family, we need somewhere for us all to be together over Christmas. The kitchen was well equipped, I enjoyed cooking Christmas dinner on the aga. There was more than enough room in the dining room for all of us including the highchair for the baby. The bedrooms were also a good size, with ensuite bathrooms. The toiletries were a nice touch. The Pub in the village supplied us with a takeaway meal on our last night, nothing was too much trouble for them. I recommend it. The Jurassic coast is a short drive. Although the weather was awful, it rained every day. We still had a wonderful Christmas at the farmhouse. I would recommend the farmhouse I would like to thank Nicola for making our stay very enjoyable.
Beautiful, Big and Spacious!
August 27th 2019
I chose this house as my family were coming over from Australia. There were 8 of us that stayed here for a week. From the photos it looked like a house just right for all of us.I can honestly say it’s a very beautiful house with so much space inside and out.The living room was big enough for us all to relax in the evenings and the bedrooms were big and spacious. This lovely home was not only beautiful but it has a lift for people to get upstairs if needed. My Mum is 81 so it was perfect for her to be able to have access to upstairs. We played board games in the dining room and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with a fabulous aga and a dishwasher to clean away the dishes.I cannot express enough how perfect this place is for a big family in the quietness of the countryside with The Royal Oak pub only a few minutes walk away.A lovely Sunday roast with a Sports Bar to watch the football. We all loved our stay here and would love to come back again one day.

We have just retuned from a weeks holiday at this amazing farmhouse. We absolutely loved all the original features and in particular the aga in the kitchen. It was great always knowing that the kitchen was so cosy and warm . I also really enjoyed the benefits of the aga for cooking. The farmhouse was spotlessly clean and very comfortable throughout. Another bonus to this property is the extensive secure garden - it’s great for children and dogs. We also enjoyed making use of the bbq and outdoor table as well as the very comfortable recliner garden chairs. Gould’s Farmhouse is in a lovely little village with great walks for dogs from the doorstep. It’s a great location too for getting out and about and exploring the beautiful Dorset countryside and coastline. The staff in the local pub are very friendly and the food was nice. I would recommend staying in this lovely farmhouse. Nicola, the owner is most helpful and very welcoming. Arrival and departure is made very easy with the use of a key safe and very comprehensive instructions and directions from Nicola. We had a very enjoyable stay and we were very happy with our choice of holiday home for our week in Dorset.
A Gem of a House
January 13th 2019
Three generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful time in this gem of a house set on the edge of a lovely village and surrounded by fields. A large garden and a spacious interior meant that our two small grandchildren didn’t run out of hiding places during our four night stay. A five minute walk takes you to the centre of the village where there is a General store, Post Office and the Royal Oak pub which serves great food, both to eat in or takeaway, and where the staff and locals are all friendly and welcoming. We loved chilling in the evening in front of the open hearth fire with a glass of wine, and being over the New Year period, the Christmas tree, mistletoe and holly decorations were an unexpected but joyful bonus. It goes without saying that we will be visiting again in the future. The Osbornes
A HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER
September 5th 2017
We had a lovely stay at Gould’s Farmhouse in Dorset. The house has plenty of room - we had 8 staying with 2 under 3 and 2 teenagers. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge and dining areas spacious. The garden area is large with lots of places for the title ones to explore. The Farmhouse is in a lovely village with an excellent pub and local store nearby. And the village is accessible to Weymouth, Swanage, Bournemouth, Lulworth, Monkey World and the tank Museum. Nicola, the owner, is very helpful and made sure we had a holiday to remember. Can’t wait to go back again.
STUNNING, ATTRACTIVE AND TRADITIONAL
September 5th 2017
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Gould's Farmhouse. It is a very stunning cottage, with an attractive garden, and traditional decor. Set in a quiet village, with nice views. Very easy to commute to the main attractions. Nicola was most helpful throughout our stay, and we look forward to returning one day.
