This fully centrally heated holiday cottage with Wi-Fi lies in the rural village of Stanhope in in County Durham. It has a cosy sitting room with log burner, a gorgeous kitchen diner with a large dining table, two large bedrooms each with a superking bed (or can be twin), and a stunning bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, Smeg fridge/freezer, microwave, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer so you can sit back and let the appliances do all the work whilst you relax in front of the log fire.
The cottage is perfectly situated for visiting the most beautiful areas of the North of England and the Borders. Hadrian's Wall lies about 30 miles to the North, the stunning cathedral city of Durham is 20 miles to the East, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is on the southern doorstep and the Lake District National Park is no more than an hour away. Apart from all of this the North Pennines themselves are a stunning place to visit, with Cross Fell, High Force waterfall, Barnard Castle, and many more wonderful landscapes to explore.
Britain's most famous long distance path, The Pennine Way, is only 5 miles away from the cottage so as you would expect there are tremendous opportunities in the area for walkers.
The pet friendly cottage lies directly on the Coast to Coast (C2C) Cycle Route, and with secure storage for cyclists is a perfect place for a stopover.
