Converted in 2004 from an 18th century stone barn, Gwenoldy provides luxurious accommodation for up to 4 people and enjoys spectacular panoramic views of the Clwydian hills.
The cottage is light and airy, and will keep you comfortable whatever the weather.
In the summer you can throw open the doors and windows which look onto your private garden.
In the winter you may wish to snuggle down and enjoy the central heating and woodburning stove.
The kitchen is superbly equipped, but there are plenty of excellent pubs and restaurants nearby if you prefer to eat out.
Mod cons include widescreen Freeview TV, free wi-fi and an internet-enabled computer, but you'll enjoy leaving many aspects of the outside world behind you.
We have guests who come back year after year. We are rated 5-star (exceptional) by Visit Wales.

Fabulous cottage, brilliantly equipped, gorgeous views, gardens and walks....So relaxing. Just what we needed! Our two children have absolutely loved it, collecting the eggs was their highlight! Cake was also delicious, thank you very much, we would love to visit again!
Absolutely first class by Gill and Phil on November 7th 2015
Gwenoldy is absolutely first class. The location is unbeatable. Waking up to glorious skies and emerging views. Weather watching is fascinating. The cottage is so well equipped and comfy. We could happily have stayed indoors all week. However, there are many historical attractions close at hand for discovering this beautiful county of Flintshire. A very relaxing holiday and one we definitely want to repeat. Thank you Elizabeth and Ian for the goodies and allowing us to stay in Gwenoldy.
Thought of Everything by Jenny and Nick on November 1st 2014
We had a great stay here. The cottage is perfect. The views are breathtaking and the owners have thought of everything. We love the special touches like the bath toys and the lemon cake! Thanks for a great holiday!
Fabulous cottage! by The P family on June 23rd 2013
Thank you for a fantastic week! Fabulous cottage with views to die for. Children had a ball playing in the garden and chasing your poor cat and chickens. Great days out at Chester Zoo, the beach at Llandudno and Park Hall Farm. Delicious food at Glasfryn in Mold and staff were very welcoming with our children (18 months and 5). Would recommend your cottage to our friends!. Thanks.
Beautiful cottage by James, Ali, Jack and Harry on April 6th 2013
We have had a lovely time in your beautiful cottage. The views are fantastic and we have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage. Our boys have loved playing football in the garden and there is so much to do in this area for young families. Thanks too for the delicious cake and wine on arrival. Most thoughtful! We hope to come back one day!
Love it by Kris on November 3rd 2012
I love it here. So glad we all got time to spend here. The boys have loved it, we've had chance to relax which is rare. Feeling relaxed and ready to take on the world! Everyone should be 'Gwenoldy'ed at least once. Let's hope we'll be back.
