Christchurch House is a lovely detached Edwardian villa refurbished with style in a great part of Cheltenham, an easy stroll from the buzz of shops and restaurants. This luxury holiday home can sleep up to 16 in 6 spacious bedrooms, all with their own facilities. The Garden Flat [available on request] sleeps 4 and is the granny annexe. It is completely self-contained so can be taken on its own or with the main house for larger groups. Both together, they are a stunning location for gatherings of groups in this fabulous Regency town.
The ground floor sitting room is filled with light and overlooks the private south-facing garden. A supersized fireplace holds a massive log burner which is a real treat in the winter months and provides a spectacular focal point for this spacious room. Double doors open into the kitchen. Designed by someone who loves to cook, it has plenty of toys that make light work of whipping up meals for 16: 3 dishwashers, 2 big fridges, a hot water dispenser, a steam and a conventional oven plus a microwave and lots of pots, pans and utensils. A swing door connects the kitchen to the formal dining room. There are also 2 cloakrooms and a laundry room on the ground floor and direct access from the sitting room and kitchen onto the terrace and, from there, to the lawn.
The master bedroom is spectacular and has unrivalled views over the garden to the hills surrounding the town. In summer, when the trees are in leaf, it is almost like being in the heart of the countryside. The ensuite bathroom has a Philippe Starck bath and a walk in shower that has a massive rain shower head and body jets. In total, there are 6 bedrooms, 5 with ensuites, one with a dedicated bathroom across the landing.
This is a house of generous proportions and is very comfortable. If your party is greater than 16, you can take the Garden Flat as well. This has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a cloakroom and, while completely self contained, can be opened up to connect with the main house by arrangement.
