About Bellhouse

  • Sleeps: 8
  • Bedrooms: 4
  • Bathrooms: 3

Full of character and situated in a glorious, secluded location near the village of Nympsfield, Gloucestershire, Bellhouse is a large and welcoming countryside holiday retreat for large families or groups of friends wanting to get away from it all in the Cotswold Hills.

This spacious rural holiday cottage forms the southwest wing of Woodchester Park House, a Grade II listed building that dates to the 1860s and retains many of its original features.

The courtyard and further patio area provide sun traps for outdoor sitting and dining, whilst Bellhouse abuts the garden and woodland of Woodchester Park, owned by the National Trust, teeming with wildlife and with miles of walking trails and five ornamental lakes to take in nature’s beauty.

The child-friendly home itself sleeps eight, with a ground-floor twin bedroom and three bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom. Woodburning stoves in both the sitting room and dining room, and a satellite TV with DVD player allow you to enjoy evenings in after a day exploring this region.

The popular Rose and Crown pub in Nympsfield is approximately a 20-minute walk away, whilst further afield you can enjoy a wonderful day out at Berkeley Castle, Norman home of the Berkeley family since 1153, or visit historic Bristol and take a day trip to the beaches along Bristol Channel.
