Broadway is a postcard-ready sight in the Cotswolds. With honey-coloured stone dominating the buildings of this quaint village, you might not be surprised about the exteriors of the home. With traditional oriel windows, slated roof, and brickwork chimney, this 17th-century house is sure to charm you before you even get inside. Over the years, the hosts have designed award-winning interiors for historic buildings. It’s easy to see why, with excellent preservation of original features such as ancient oak beams, a stone fireplace, and antique furniture. While the decor is fairly understated, we love how quirky nods to Istanbul – where your hosts lived for many years – add a personal touch. After exploring the apartment, you’ll even find a secret garden out back (an ideal spot for a bottle of fizz under the stars). Make the most of your creative escape in the morning, with Broadway Museum and Gallery, the Gordon Russell Design Museum, and John Noot Galleries all under five minutes from your door. Or get away from urban life and visit Broadway Tower, a mile and a half away. Experience true peace and quiet, along with unmatched views of rolling greenery of the English countryside.

This home has smart heating and remote-control lighting

Guests are kindly asked to remove shoes upstairs and to only use the bathtub for sit-down showers

This characterful old home has wonky walls and floors, sloped ceilings, and low doorways – some guests might struggle to access the entire home and you'll also need to climb stairs to enter

This home is managed by Julia and Tarkan

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Julia and Tarkan met in Istanbul and brought up their child in the city, before eventually moving to the Cotswolds. They still have some other historic homes there that they rent out too, some of which are award-winners. They are absolutely lovely and bend over backwards to provide the best stay they can.
