After dark, you might decide to stay outside and huddle around the fire pit, or retreat to one of the cosy living rooms to play board games or watch a movie. The Yorkshire Moors are right on your doorstep, ideal for long, muddy walks through the windswept landscapes that inspired the Brontë sisters, and it's just a short drive to visit the Pennines, where you can hike through an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
