  • "Liked the cottage, well placed in Brixham, however not enough towels were provided and dish washer broke down, no salt or rinse aid were provided and probably contributed to the breakdown."

Cottage was clean and well maintained.

For all future Guests, we have a NEW DISHWASHER now installed. Property Owner

Can be tight for parking the we found it easier to drive just past and reverse in if the road is clear. If you like the sun you won't get much on the patio but it would not stop me going again. Also a nice welcome pack.

  • "Lovely house with everything needed for a comfortable stay including lots of extra goodies like biscuits, cake ,wine ,beer’s etc on arrival ."

The house was spotlessly clean with comfortable furnishings and in a great location right in the centre of Brixham just a 5minute walk away from all the shops, bars ,restaurants and of course Brixham harbour which is very impressive. The house is also allocated it’s own private parking space for one car . We hardly needed to use the car,we booked a ferry trip to Dartmouth which was lovely and can highly recommend and there are also buses available to get to Paignton and Torquay amongst other places.

  • "A great cottage that is ideally located in Brixham."

Very well equipped kitchen, which meant we could eat in most days. Thoughtful and quality furnishings throughout. Exceptionally clean. The car parking is such a plus but needs a confident driver when there are several cars using the space. The welcome pack is a really kind addition, which created the perfect start to our stay. David's fish & chip shop is directly across the road and makes the best fish & chips! We highly recommend staying at this cottage.

  • "Overall a good stay in a prime location."

The lack of garden with a notice up for no dog fouling on the patio was a problem. However there was a great local park called the Battery Gardens 5 minutes away by car. The lack of crockery should be addressed. To only provide tea cup plates and massive dinner plates is inadequate. A medium size lunch plate as well is surely not too much to ask for?

The early text to say it as ready and the welcome pack were very much appreciated. Other comments have been made about the parking but if you know Brixham you know that parking isn’t the easiest so a safe space to leave your car is a bonus. Would definitely return.

Beautifully presented. Would definitely book it again, but..... We tend to have our evening meal at the cottage, and found the lack of kitchen equipment, dishes etc a mild irritant. Thank you for allowing our two dogs to stay, we should have realised that, due to location, it was quite a walk to a grass, run around area for the dogs. We had a lovely holiday.

  • "The cottage was well proportioned, comfortable and beautifully presented."

It is situated on one of the very few low level streets in Brixham which makes access to the town, harbour and marina very easy. The road is busy with traffic but the property is set so far back as to be peaceful and sheltered. The courtyard is pretty and ideal for breakfasts in the sunshine. I imagine that the availability of a tv in each of the bedrooms and a large one in the lounge would be great for families visiting when the weather was less kind than when we visited. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cottage which we felt was comparatively moderately priced.

Spotlessly clean with all your needs in mind.. even a bottle of wine in the fridge and treats for our pup! Great location for easy access to the harbour and transport by ferry or bus to other towns. Walking distance to some stunning places such as Berry Head, and Fishcombe and Churston Coves. If you like to explore on foot and have a cosy home to return to, this is the place for you! Enjoy!

We are glad your stay was overall good and we welcome your feedback. It does state in our property description that the patio area is not enclosed. We are very puzzled to whose Dogs were wandering onto our patio area during the night, as none of our neighbours own a Dog? Property Owner

Clean property with a nice welcoming bottle of wine and doggy treats. Photo of courtyard and description slightly misleading as it is very small and shared with neighbours, had to walk dog whenever he needed the toilet. This was an inconvenience at times with a 9 month old baby, not having somewhere secure to let the dog have a wee. However our dog seemed to enjoy all the extra walks.

  • "We had a lovely week here!"

The house was a perfect base to explore South Devon and we really enjoyed Brixham! It was only a short wander down to the harbour if we wanted to eat out or needed to grab something from the Tesco or Co-op. Thoroughly recommend a walk down to the harbour at sunset! We didn’t find parking an issue because we only have a small car, but if you have a bigger car I imagine it’s a lot easier if you pull in and then reverse through the arch. The beds were really comfortable and we had everything we needed. We might return for another holiday in the future!!

The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the milk, wine and juice was an unexpected treat. Our only issue is that we missed some of the utensils and equipment that may have been there pre-covid but that is by no means a criticism given the circumstances. The first thing you are greeted with is a no dogs allowed on a stairgate to the upstairs which is not dog friendly. Then the rules was no dog fouling on patio but there was nowhere for them to go without taking them in the car. It was a lovely place to stay without a dog, shouldn't be advertised as dog friendly.

.Brixham town centre, harbour and facilities a short walk away! The cottage itself was full of charm, Uber clean, full of character, had everything you needed and some, a real ‘home from home’ and an absolute credit to its owners Alison and Russell. There was a wonderful welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biccies for us and one of treats for Ted our dog. Would highly recommend! We had no issues at all with the parking and manoeuvred in and out with no problems even with, on occasion, a full car park. My hubby’s a stresshead when it comes to parking, so if he can do it anyone can! Can’t rate this little gem enough!

Situated off the main road, just a short walk to the shops and harbour. The offroad parking is a definite bonus - we only used the car on 3 days. About the location

BRIXHAM

Dartmouth 5 miles; Paignton 6 miles; Torquay 8 miles.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
