A lovely holiday in N.Wales

My wife, grown up step-daughter and I spent a wonderful week in N.Wales at Berwyn Cottage, Bala. The cottage itself was suitable for both myself and my wife as we are disabled. On our arrival we were made to feel most welcome by Mrs Lewis the owner of the cottage and we quickly settled in.

The cottage was compact but very comfortable with plenty of space for three people and the views were stunning with Bala Lake visible in the distance. It made for an ideal base from which to explore the wonderful countryside. During our week we spent time in Barmouth, Canaerfon Llangollen and angelsey among other places and all were within easy travelling distance.

Even the weather was kind for the first three days of our stay with a mini heatwave! all in all we had a wonderful time and would love to stay again sometime.

Lovely Holiday Cottage

We stayed here in Oct 2011. The cottage was spotless and really well fitted out with everything you could need. Very clean and very friendly welcome. Ideal for for visiting all of North Wales.

Lovely cottage with breathtaking views

A warm, friendly welcome awaited us on arrival. The cottage was very clean, tidy and well equipped. The panoramic views were outstanding. I am disabled and in a wheelchair but I got around inside the cottage very well.
It would have helped if there had been better grab rails and, perhaps, a 'devon rail' in the bathroom but I managed OK with the help of my friends. Also, the suite in the lounge area was not comfortable! Having said that,
I have only praise for this lovely little cottage and would thoroughly recommend it.
Lovely walks(wheelchair friendly)along the converted railway track from Dolgellau to Barmouth (Mawddach Trail).

Both my wife and I are disabled and it was nice to see that the description of accessible largely accorded with our own. The owner of the property could not have been more helpful and we were made to feel particularly welcome. As such we would not hesitate to holiday there again.

Beautiful location and ideal for disabled and/or elderly guests as my party contained 1 of each. The stunning view from the lounge and patio was a wonderful sight to greet us each morning. Was lovely, just felt like home.

Mrs Patel

Berwyn Cottage was a really outstanding accommodation - a traditional style stone building, well designed and executed throughout. The location is also excellent, especially the view to the Bala Lake and Snowdonia National Park beyond, and as a touring centre for most of north and central Wales.

Mr Boylan

Liked everything, the cottage was clean and the surrounding views were brilliant. Enjoyed every minute.

Mrs Goodby

The location of Berwyn Cottage was excellent, with wonderful views from the windows. The location meant that all the places we wanted to visit were easy to get to. Also the owners of the cottage made you feel welcome.

Mr Baker

The cottage was clean and well decorated, and had everything needed for a short break. The position of the cottages and the view across to Lake Bala was wonderful. We found a very friendly pub, The Brytirion, near by with good food which we would recommend. We would definitely stay again.

Mrs Beddows

Well equipped comfortable accommodation with stunning views. It was an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia.
