Property Details

Plimuir is a 4-bedroom character cottage with beautiful Cairngorm Mountain views standing in its own grounds in a beautiful rural location just outside Boat of Garten near Aviemore. It's in a perfect location for summers hiking (or cycling) in the mountains or snowy winter sports and walks.

The cottage offers some wonderful panoramic mountain views from the living room and upstairs bedrooms at the front of the house. The ground floor of the cottage is mainly open plan. This spacious area incorporate a itchen, lounge and dining area. During the evenings the room draws its toasty warmth froma large wood buringn stove. The well-equipped kitchen contains an Aga which also adds it ambiet warmth to the comfortable living area.

Also on the gound floor is a large bedroom with a TV and sofa with an adjoiining showere room and WC which is particularly popular wtih families or groups of friends having guests less inclined or able to climb the stairs to bed. To the rear of the kiitchen is a small, ut handy utility room - a great space for disgorging, washing and drying muddy clothes overnight.

On the first floor, the three bedrooms comprise a double, a single and a twin. There is space for a cot or child's camp bed allowing 8 guests to be welcomed to Plimuir.

The gardens extend around the house and run to 3-acres offering a horticultural experience to suit all tastes. This includes established florwer beds, fruit trees, streams,lawns, a thatched seating area with lights and a paddock of just the right size for children to play football. Beyond the paddock there is access via a small bridge to the hills through a small woodland. There is a handy shed for storing outdoor equipment, as well as the BBQ.

As lovely as the garden is, its the views taht add the icing to the cake. In winter it is possible to view Aviemore's ski slopes and decide whether to head out for a day on-piste or to explore elsewhere.
