Tigh an Aullt
Overlooking Loch Duich in a unique hillside location in one of the most awe inspiring glens in the Scottish Highlands, Tigh an Aullt is the ideal getaway property for up to 6 people.
- Sleeps 6
- Bedrooms 3
- Bathrooms 2
Situated at the foot of the Five Sisters of Kintail, Tigh an Aullt is a holiday property set within a truly outstanding location. With far-reaching panoramic views out across the Highlands and the Clunanie Glen, the Scottish scenery is truly beautiful no matter what time of year.
Tigh an Aullt is located at the foot of the Five Sisters of Kintail, a famous set of Munros which draw climbers throughout the year. Sleeping 6, the property has 3 bedrooms (one double, one twin and one bunk room) alongside a separate family bathroom plus a two person Swedish sauna. The main bedroom also has a ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and built in shower unit.
The house also features an excellently equipped kitchen, alongside a lounge which offers spectacular views of Loch Duich and the 5 sister of Kintail. There is also a telescope in the sitting room which allows you to see Dolphins, Seals, Porpoises, Otters and Birds of Prey.
Outside Tigh an Aullt is a garden area with wooden beach and BBQ. Very close to the property is a spate stream full of large boulders which flows down the hillside beside the cottage garden and you can often hear the boulders moving along. There is also a special visitor that comes to the property in the evenings - the Pine Marten, who is easily attracted by leaving bread and butter with strawberry jam outside.
Close by there are a whole host of activities for guests to enjoy. Water sports are on offer in the Loch, and there are plenty of cycle routes, walks and climbs to explore. Fishing and whale watching can also be organised and you can even enjoy a days kayaking with the local National Trust ranger.

A fabulous cottage in a beautiful area. Definitely five star accommodation.
As Beautiful As Ever! by Alison and Geoff Curtis, Devon on November 17th 2013
Great to be back having had to miss our annual fix last year. Beautiful as ever, but milder and damper than most years. On Sunday evening we think there was a Mountain Rescue exercise on the slopes of Sgurr An Airgidh opposite with helicopters coming and going all in the dark - no mention in the West Highland Free Press.
Wonderful Wildlife by The Croft Family, Fife on May 12th 2013
Another fabulous week. Thank you so much. Saw crows, mice, siskins, gold finches and deer. The views are to die for, we're really envious.

A Doubly Amazing Cottage. by Damon, Jake, Josef and Grace, Wakefield, Yorkshire on October 10th 2012
What an amazing cottage and an amazing area to stay in. Of course Eilen Donnan Castle is a must, as is the fishing. We walked four of the five Sisters and did three Red Callins on Skye. That takes us up to 93 mountains. Then had a day horse riding across the loch. And a must is the Jacobite Restaurant, wonderful food and such a warm welcoming conversation. Thank you one and all.
