Primrose Cottage offers the best of both worlds.

It’s a 17th century listed building with a wealth of period features including exposed beams, inglenook fireplace and working wood-burner stove. Yet visitors enjoy up-to-date amenities such as gas central heating, wireless internet and garage parking.

The cottage is situated in the very heart of medieval Sandwich with shops and other amenities right on the doorstep. On the other hand, unspoiled Sandwich Bay with its nature reserves and golf links is just two miles away.

Primrose Cottage is compact, cosy and tastefully furnished throughout. It sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms: one double and one twin. Please note the twin room is up very steep stairs which make it unsuitable for children under 11 or anyone who is unfit. Headroom is also restricted in places.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

Facilities include a private courtyard with garden furniture, lock-up garage (3 minutes’ walk), TVs, DVDs, washing machine, tumble dryer and more. Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Within a few minutes’ walk you will discover a range of interesting shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, banks, museum, library, bus services, boat trips from the quay and mainline station to London.

Inside a radius of 12 miles are historic Canterbury, Broadstairs and its sandy bays, Ramsgate and Royal Harbour, the seaside town of Deal, the castle and white cliffs of Dover, and Margate with its Turner Contemporary Art Gallery.
