The setting was great as was the owner. It was in a central area to a lot of places to visit. Seeing all the animals was fun.

The location was so peaceful and perfectly placed for country walks or getting out and about by car to local amenities.
A little piece of paradise by A FlipKey verified reviewer on August 8th 2014
A most picturesque location and the livestock add greatly to the enjoyment of our stay. The accommodation is compact but met all our requirements and we and our dogs were made to feel so welcome. Thoroughly recommend!

Perfect Cottage for animal lovers. by A FlipKey verified reviewer on September 24th 2013
We had a wonderful time, the cottage was delightful and we really enjoyed seeing the various animals and birds. Woolfie (our cat) would have loved to bring home Percy the Peacock. We were very lucky with the weather and Shropshire is a beautiful county. I would recommend this cottage to anybody that enjoys country life.
by Mrs Boorman on September 23rd 2013
The cottage was the best that we had ever stayed. Shropshire is a beautiful county with lots to do and see.
by Mrs Gault on September 17th 2013
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kites Nest. Beautiful garden with all the sculptures, and so tranquil a place to enjoy.
by Mrs Jelley on July 22nd 2013
Kite's Nest was a dear little cottage, we enjoyed seeing all the animals, especially the rescued owls. My husband wanted to bring Percy the Peacock home, but of course, we couldn't let him. We loved Bluebell the dear little tabby cat. Would recommend this holiday to anybody who wants peace and quiet with animals. Shropshire is a beautiful county.

Lovely location, great hosts and a really good place for a holiday.
by Mrs Gorstridge on March 31st 2013
Location excellent to visit the area. Great property to take the dog did not need to worry about muddy paws due to the tile flooring. Peaceful location. Property not overlooked by the owners but they are close enough if there was a problem. Friendly but not intrusive. Will visit again and would recommend.
Peaceful retreat in lovely surroundings by A FlipKey verified reviewer on December 14th 2012
Kite's Nest is a cosy, well equipped cottage. We found it to be very comfortable and in a lovely setting on the farm with peacocks, chickens and ducks visiting us daily. The cottage is in a very quiet rural location with walks available from the door step. The only downside for us was the very narrow roads from Church Stretton to the accommodation which we found a little too narrow for our liking. A beautiful area though and a really lovely little cottage.
by Mrs Harwood on October 8th 2012
We could see animals and birds from the windows in the huge wild garden that we could walk around at the farm. The area was beautiful. The owner was very helpful.
by Mr Malin on October 2nd 2012
Lovely cottage; excellent for all walking attractions and Church Stretton.
by Mr Trenerry on September 21st 2012
A beautiful property that far exceeded our expectations. A visit to this property would be great for astronomers: there are genuine dark skies at night at the property and I saw the Milky Way for only the third time in my life!
by Mrs Clarke on September 12th 2012
This property is in the middle of a working farm and stables. It really is back to nature! The owners are very friendly and informative. There is good walking to be had from this property. The best cottage we have ever visited and we will certainly be going back there again.
by Mrs Barrow on September 11th 2012
Rural location, great centre for the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Very peaceful in the evenings but plenty of activity to watch during the day - chickens, peacocks, horses, owls - lovely.
Peaceful location by RHGH on August 28th 2012
We stayed at this accommodation for a week recently. We found the 'cottage' to be well equipped and comfortably furnished. We enjoyed seeing the animals from the farm wandering around and had frequent visits from the chickens and cat. The accommodation is set in a rural area and is incredibly peaceful. The location of the cottage near Church Stretton is good and we found access easy to Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Much Wenlock and Ironbridge with some stunning walks located closeby. The only downside for us was that the road to the accommodation is very narrow with only a few passing points and this did put us off venturing out in the evening for meals. Overall though a very pleasant accommodation that was clean and comfortable and in a delightful setting.
by Mrs Brown on July 29th 2012
A rural location, but not far from shops/restaurants. Good heating.
by Mr Sanders on July 28th 2012
The situation of the cottage was absolutely lovely. If you like walking in unspoilt places this is for you.

Very clean, well equipped delightful cosy cottage. by A FlipKey verified reviewer on December 3rd 2011
Arrived when it was dark,in the morning such joy at the lovely surroundings, owners so helpful and caring ,nothing was to much trouble ,we are going back next year ,Church Stretton had everything you needed and more.A real must is to go and see the Red Kite feeding station at Rhayader,Severn Valley Steam Railway, would recommend going Kidderminster to Bridgenorth as Bridgenorth is such a nice town to spend a few hours in ,so much in the area ,might take us a couple of years of staying at Kites Nest ,something to look forward to ,will recommend to family and friends .
by Mrs Haines on October 25th 2011
Nothing was to much trouble for the owners, they gave us lots of tips for places to visit and wonderful eggs for breakfast. We will be back next year without a doubt. A wonderful place for a holiday, would highly recommend it - cosy for an autumn/winter break, lovely deep bath, great after a long walk. Thank you.
Excellent property by A FlipKey verified reviewer on October 6th 2011
Excellent property with all you could require. Very quiet rural location surrounded by horse paddocks. Owners in nearby house and very friendly. Pets and farm animals in a nearby area including rescued owl. Have free range of the owners extensive grounds and can even visit and feed their pig.
by Mrs Wright on July 18th 2011
The cottage was in the countryside, but outside the cottage was a livery stable and a collection of unusual birds and animals, which you could visit, so there was always plenty of activity.
