When visiting London most people would not think of renting a self catering property in London, but it's a great way of having your own place to relax and enjoy this great city. Samuel Johnson said " When a man is tired of London he is tired of life, for there is in London all that life can afford". London is seen by many as the cultural and economic centre of the world but for a tourist it offers a never ending wealth of wanders to visit and view. There is a host of castles and ancient monuments from Buckingham Palace to Tower Bridge. There are amazing museums and galleries - National History Museum, Imperial War Museum, Tate Gallery, National Art Gallery etc.

The beauty of London from a visitor perspective, is that it is so easy to get around. With a wealth of world famous landmarks from St. Paul's Cathedral in the East to the swanky shops of Chelsea in the West, they are either within walking distance, or easily accessed by London Underground or on one of London's distinctive red double decker buses (sit on the top deck for the best views). An increasingly popular way to visit the different sites strung out along the River Thames is to go by the river itself, catching one of the many water buses that ply from Westminster to Greenwich.
