Beautiful cottage, great location, pet friendly
Great little spot by the remarkable East beach in Lossie. Well equipped tastefully designed accommodation with everything you'll need. We had our two dogs with us who loved their stay..fabulous walks in all directions. Handy access to the pubs and restaurants on the seafront at Lossie just a few hundred yards away...The East Beach is stunning.

Our Moray coast holiday cottage in Lossiemouth is located next door to our popular Seatown Cottage, in the middle of a row of 4. It is a traditional fisherman's cottage, built around 1850.
Downstairs there is a large double bedroom with a king-size bed, a newly fitted bathroom (with shower over the bath) and a lounge. This has a woodburning stove to keep the cottage warm on those long winter evenings and opens out into the galley kitchen.
Upstairs there are 2 attic rooms. Because of their low ceilings, we have kitted these out as a children's twin room and a 'den' - complete with bean bags, a toy chest and a second TV and DVD player. We do not recommend them for anyone over about 5 foot tall!
Outside there is a garden shed, and a fairly sheltered and secluded garden.
The cottage is ideal for couples or those with young families. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but we do ask that they are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedroom. It provides comfortable and cosy accommodation in a stunning location, just opposite the bridge to the fabulous East Beach and an easy walk to the woods along the river's edge. WIFI enabled.
With many budget airlines flying direct to Inverness and Aberdeen airports, and all the major hire car companies located at the airports, the cottage is easily accessible. It is about 45 minutes drive from Inverness and 1.5hours from Aberdeen along the main A96. There are buses and trains in Elgin, but they are not necessarily the most frequent and a car is recommended.
Lossiemouth calls itself the 'Jewel of Moray' and as a holiday destination, it is a real gem. This area boasts a higher than the average number of sunshine hours, which may come as a pleasant surprise - we are in Scotland after all! With 2 RAF bases in the vicinity, there are probably more restaurants and bars than you would expect for a town of this size (although they are easily avoided if you want!). There are also local shops and a medium-sized supermarket. For the 24 hour mega stores, you need to head 6 miles down the road to Elgin, where there is also a leisure centre with an ice rink, cinema and bowling alley.
Moray stretches from the peaks of the Cairngorms down to beautiful beaches and picturesque fishing villages along the Moray Firth. Much of the landscape is dominated by the River Spey. It also incorporates Speyside, home to around half the distilleries in Scotland. In fact, this area has the highest concentration of distilleries anywhere in the world. Many of them including such famous names as Glenfiddich, The Glenlivet, The Macallan and Glen Moray welcome visitors with more information to be found on the Malt Whisky Trail.
If you are visiting over the May Bank Holiday, join the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival – whisky, music, food and fun. It's a great way to meet other whisky lovers, whether you are a novice or a connoisseur!

6 Seatown is a very well equipped pet and child friendly home. Great thought has gone into making your stay special with a generous welcome pack waiting on your arrival. There is good library, toys for the kids and a lovely garden area to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The wood burning stove come into its own during the colder months so you will always be toasty and warm. The beach and dunes are accessed via a metal bridge just meters away from the cottage. Places to eat out, super ice cream shops and a good chip pie are a short walk away. We keep coming back to this property, it’s becoming our second home.
Returning to a little piece of heaven

We stayed in 6 Seatown last year when we came to Scotland with the hopes of seeing the northern lights. It was such a warm and cosy place and fully equipped with every single thing you could need in a self catering cottage. When we decided to visit Scotland with hopes of seeing the northern lights again this year there was no doubt in our mind that we would return to 6 Seatown. The cottage just seems to welcome you in and makes you feel at home. The cottage is lovingly looked after and everything is in excellent condition and the fact that Wendy & Colin provide a food welcome pack is a wonderful idea that is gratefully received after a long journey. This beautiful little fisherman’s cottage has the added bonus of being just on the opposite side of the road to the river and beach which our two dogs enjoyed immensely. When we left to come home we brought two completely exhausted pooches as they’d never had so many beach runs in a week! We have just returned from our visit and already have booked our return for next year. We did see the aurora last year but not this year but somehow it didn’t matter because we were just happy to be in Lossie and 6 Seatown
Perfect beach location

Comfy and cosy traditional fisherman’s cottage just a stones throw from East Beach. Well equipped and a real Aladdin’s cave of toys in the upstairs playroom if you have young children. Really enjoyed our stay and felt immediately at home. Would book again.

The whole process went like clockwork with excellent communication. The cottage was superbly equipped -particularly the kitchen which even had a slow cooker. Bathroom immaculate. Plenty of cleaning supplies and basics too, and we were met with a welcome pack which included milk, eggs, bacon, bread, butter and wine. It's months since we have slept so well- probably down to the comfortable bed and the whole ambiance of the area. The living room settee was also incredibly comfortable. We really appreciated that our dog was accepted too. We would definitely stay there again. The visitor book showed comments from many 'repeat stayers.'
Home from home

We've been returning to 6 Seatown Lossiemouth for quite a few years now and it never disappoints. This year we've been twice. A well appointed comfortable home with everything you need including a generous welcome pack. Clean and cosy with a solid fuel stove for the colder times of the year. Wendy and Colin are alway contactable in case of need and are so very friendly. An outside seating area is great for enjoying a glass of wine as you take in the stunning sunsets. The beach is only metres away via a bridge crossing the river Lossie as it meets the sea. Miles of pristine sand and dunes and for the bird watchers, an abundance of wildfowl, waders and the ocassional osprey searching for supper. What's not to like?

"Wonderful Week - Beautiful Cottage"
September 7th 2014
This is a beautiful well kept cottage we were looking forward to staying here for many months as we booked well in advance, from booking to arrival we were kept very well informed by the owners regarding the booking, deposit, balance due, directions, local info etc... and when we arrived we were very pleased with the cottage. It is set in a wonderful location along the sea front of Lossiemouth. The cottage is very roomy which we were very pleased with the lounge and kitchen are well kitted out along with the wonderful log burner! The bathroom and master bedroom are also located on the ground floor and are beautiful. Up-stairs is the twin room decorated lovely for children along with book cases filled with books and games and then a second room for children to play. The cottage was very clean and there was everything from washing up liquid, bin bags, shower gel, washing powder, foil, salt & pepper etc.....a lot of what you need to just get started. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. We loved our stay here and would recommend this with no hesitations - we would like to think we will stay here again in the future.

Stayed for a week at this lovely property. Location very good, just across from the beach and some beautiful walks and scenery on the door step. The property was excellent, with everything you needed and all in good condition. We are looking to book again for next year. What a find.
"One of the best cottages we have stayed in"
June 2nd 2014
We visit family in Lossimouth regularly and this is by far the best cottage we have stayed in. The location is perfect just a 30 second walk to the beach and a few minutes to the shops. The cottage was superbly equipped and included so much more equipment than we expected from a big selection of DVDs for the adults and children and an excellently equipped toy room which our 1 year old loved, there was even thoughtfully provided children's cutlery and cups and even a baby monitor! The welcome pack was a lovely surprise after a long drive. We will defiantly be staying at Seatown again.
