value for money by elaine w on August 23rd 2015
Was able to get a late booking on this cottage which made it great value for a family summer holiday. pickering is a great place for a holiday, we were able to go to the beach at Scarborough as well as visit York all within easy driving distance. Had a grand day out on the pickering steam train to Whitby and enjoyed great fish and chips at quayside resturant. Cottage was cosy and contained all that we needed for the holiday. It is on a very busy road in Pickering with no immediate parking outside, however we did manage to park each day across the other side of the road on parking outside Coopers shop so did not have to pay for weekly parking in local carpark.

A great homely cottage, kept clean and tidy and in an excellent place for local attractions.

Great location, I thought the garden was beautiful and really lovely to sit in. The dining area was great and easy to have a family meal in.

Nice and central for Pickering Town, with a good selection of shops and plenty of choice for places to eat. Weather was absolutely beautiful, not a single day without blue skies and sunshine. All in all, one of the best weeks holidays I've had in ages.

Fantastic stay in a pleasant, well located cottage. Pickering is a great spot to base your holiday as there is so much to see and do in the local area. We had a wonderful week and visited loads of local attractions, such as Whitby on the steam train, Eden Camp, Pickering Castle. Really liked Pickering as a little market town, and enjoyed eating out there at local tea shops and restaurants.

Good location, lovely cottage.
Nothing has been forgotten! by Barbara on July 18th 2013
What a brilliant cottage, the owners have thought of everything. Four adults and a little dog stayed for a long weekend and the only negative is the parking. It is across the busy road and in front of the hardware shop so if you come back during the day you may not get a parking place. It is a great base for visiting Whitby, Scarborough, Goathland etc. Would definitely stay there again if looking for cottages in the Pickering area its such a lovely little town.
by Mrs Yeardley on June 28th 2013
Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side but this did not spoil our holiday because where the cottage was situated in Pickering we were able to catch buses easily and travel all over North Yorkshire. We were very impressed with the cottage. Everything we could have possibly wanted was provided and more. It was really lovely and we would recommend it to everyone.
by Mrs Webb on May 9th 2013
It is such a central town for Whitby, Scarborough etc and the cottage was so close to town that there was no need to use the car to go out for breakfast or dinner. I will have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this cottage and location to anyone.

The quality and cleanliness of the accommodation as well as the close proximity to the town centre. Separate dining area was excellent.
by Mr Batten on September 28th 2012
A charming and cosy cottage which is just a short walk to equally charming Pickering. The cottage was a joy to return to at the end of the day. We found the sitting room and dining area particularly cosy.
by Mrs Martin on October 9th 2011
Location, size of the property, little court yard, neighbours, little town, lots to do and see, wonderful walks and every one so friendly.
A good experience by Dave Locke on October 7th 2011
The cottage was very clean and the instructions for finding and entering were clear. Although being on a main road the cottage was quiet, and it's location meant that we could walk to restaurants and pubs instead of using the car. It was also ideal for access to the steam train to whitby. The cottage contained everything that was needed, and the beds were very comfortable. The small garden was a bonus.
