Property Details

Historic Kilton Mill House near Saltburn-by-the-Sea in North Yorkshire was indeed, a miller’s cottage in times gone by – far enough back to earn a mention in the Domesday Book in fact! It has been updated since then and these days is a large, beautifully furnished holiday cottage in a secluded rural location just a few minutes-walk from the beach at Skinningrove.

This large holiday home has four bedrooms sleeping eight guests plus a spare Z-bed and cot for a couple of additional younger guests if required. It will appear to dual or large families or groups of friends whether planning a traditional seaside holiday, walking holidays along the coast or North Yorkshire Moors, or a special celebration with friends away from the crowds. Pets are welcome at Kilton Mill, although there are a few restrictions. Please check with us if bringing your pet on holiday with you.

Living rooms at Kilton Mill comprise a comfortable lounge, two dining rooms, a study room and a second ‘snug’ lounge. All rooms have a TV and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all the necessary appliances you’d expect in a holiday home of this standard including a nice large American-style fridge-freezer and a range cooker.

The four good-sized bedrooms are all doubles, one having a four-poster bed, and there are two family bathrooms plus an additional WC on the ground floor.

Outside, Kilton Mill is surrounded by beautifully maintained mature gardens with lawns, patios and a sea views. A BBQ is provided and there is plenty of parking for cars.

A five to ten-minute stroll with buckets and spades will take you down to the local beach at Skinningrove. Saltburn itself is just a 5-minute drive, while other North Yorkshire fishing villages and beaches such as Staithes, Runswick and Sandsend are also within easy reach. Head inland and in no time at all, you will be on the North Yorkshire Moors. This is true walking country, but is also packed with many attractions, not least the North York Moors Steam Railway and many pretty villages with pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.

Bed linen and towels are provided for all guests. If the cot and/or Z-bed is required, these are also included in the price.
