The Granary, Oxfordshire

Built with Cotswold stone and set among woodland, The Granary is a tranquil and gorgeous romantic cottage in the little village of High Cogges near Witney in Oxfordshire. The pet-friendly holiday cottage dates back to the 17th century and boasts eco-friendly credentials, lime-washed walls, exposed beams, a fireplace, and large grounds with a fire pit and a tree house.

The surrounding woodlands can be explored, and they host a shared play area with a tree house, swing and zip line, and a fire pit for nights under the stars. A private garden offers repose and hosts a furnished space for morning coffee and alfresco meals.

Modernity meets tradition inside, where couples will find an upside-down design with a bedroom downstairs. The double room features wooden beams, lime-washed stone walls and a retained doorway with floor-to-ceiling fixed double-glazed panel for extra light. The en-suite wet room contains a shower.

Restored and re-laid original stone flooring with underfloor heating complements the pitched and beamed ceiling in the living area, which features a modern, well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area with sliding doors to capture the view, plus a cosy wood burner.

Couples enjoying The Granary are treated to eco-friendly charm and can rely on WiFi, amenities for young children, parking, electric car charging and central heating.
