Property Details

My father bought Carew Cottage in 1980 when he retired from farming and lived in it until the spring of 2008. Since then we have completely refurbished and furnished it to create a wonderful house for large or dual family holidays.

The main room of the house which was built during the refurbishment in 2009 is an ideal family set-up, kitchen, dining, sitting, tv etc. all in one 40 foot (12 m) space, with large double doors at the end of it accessing the terrace in the garden and beautiful rural views of open countryside.

Carew Cottage lies in a picturesque area of many magnificent sandy beaches, including Manorbier (2 - 3 mins walk). It is 2 mins from the coastal path.

There are a mass of places to visit within easy reach that will appeal to all ages from castles, islands, interesting old houses, magnificent cliff walks, stacks, lakes, otters, dolphins, guillemots, puffins, the Preselli Mountains and beautiful St David's Cathedral.

Several golf courses nearby and tennis courts, fly fishing can be arranged and lake and sea fishing.

Manorbier Beach is ideal for children, it has sand, pebbles, a fresh-water stream that can be dammed, rocks with all sorts of wonderful creatures to watch and catch, cliffs that aren't too high. It is very good for surfing - (please supply your own boards and wet suits etc.)

There is a shed in the garden of Carew Cottage for storage of boards and wet suits, and a back garden gate to access it.

Good restaurants can be found in Tenby, Stackpole, Manorbier itself and many more listed in the Tenants Book in the house.

There is parking outside the cottage for one large car and a reserved space 100 yards from the cottage in a private parking area.
